Position Summary
PDS Defense, Inc. is seeking a skilled Manufacturing Analyst 2 - General to support data optimization and analytics within a fast-paced manufacturing environment. This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from multiple internal and external sources, translating insights into actionable recommendations that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.
The ideal candidate is a self-driven professional who thrives with minimal oversight and can operate independently once objectives and processes are understood.

This role is responsible for gathering, analyzing, and interpreting data from multiple internal and external sources, translating insights into actionable recommendations that enhance operational efficiency and support strategic decision-making.

Key Responsibilities
- Build, combine, and maintain multiple data sources to generate data extracts supporting analytics research.
- Gather, analyze, and translate manufacturing and workforce metrics into executive-level insights and presentations.
- Maintain and improve process efficiency using process improvement methods, tools, standards, and data analysis techniques.
- Interpret, analyze, and integrate internal and external data to develop metrics and recommendations for operational reviews.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams including staffing, strategic sourcing, and leadership to support data-driven decision-making.
- Develop and maintain effective working relationships with peers, managers, and leaders across multiple functions and levels.
- Analyze site-wide analytics and metrics, gaining a thorough understanding of objectives, workflows, and processes.
- Work with minimal oversight after onboarding, demonstrating initiative and ownership of deliverables.
- Provide assessment feedback, identify opportunities for improvement, and highlight potential risks.
- Model accountability and support adherence to established processes.
- Coordinate workforce approvals, deviations, and changes as required.
- Support implementation of strategies and operational plans at the appropriate organizational level.
- Drive collaboration across teams and leadership levels.
- Promote a problem-solving mindset and continuous-improvement culture.
- Build trust with business partners, peers, and leadership.
- Bachelor's degree and typically 3+ years of related experience,
OR Master's degree and 1+ year,
OR an equivalent combination of education and experience. - 3+ years of advanced Microsoft Excel experience, including formulas, VLOOKUPs, pivot tables, charts, filters, and worksheet linking.
- 3+ years of experience analyzing data and generating recommendations based on findings.
- Experience working in a fast-paced team environment with frequent communication across internal and external stakeholders.
- 3+ years of experience managing multiple projects simultaneously and meeting deadlines.
- Strong analytical, problem-solving, and troubleshooting skills.
- Regular and predictable attendance is required.
- Successful completion of required training (OJT and/or formal classroom training).
- 2+ years of experience interfacing with senior or executive leadership.
- Experience implementing strategies and plans under general direction.
- Experience developing and executing process improvements.
- Proficiency with data analysis tools such as Excel, SQL, and statistical software.
