SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Software Engineer to support the GBS division by providing software development, computer systems, and lab support. This is an entry-level role working under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to software development, testing, and system support activities.

SUMMARY: WR has an opportunity for a Software Engineer to support the GBS division by providing software development, computer systems, and lab support. This is an entry-level role working under the guidance of senior engineers, contributing to software development, testing, and system support activities.
Position responsibilities will include, but are not limited to the following:
- Assist engineering staff with daily lab operations, test data collection, and general technical support tasks.
- Work under the direct technical supervision of senior personnel to complete assigned tasks.
- Support the analysis, definition, and documentation of requirements, including data flow, workflows, system interfaces, and outputs.
- Assist in developing plans, schedules, and tasking for software development activities.
- Participate in client meetings to gather system requirements, objectives, and functional needs.
- Support software development efforts, including coding, testing, debugging, and documentation.
- Assist in the development and execution of software test procedures.
- Support evaluation of software and hardware systems for development and integration.
Candidates must possess the following knowledge, skills, and experience:
- Bachelor of Science degree in a STEM-related field (e.g., Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or related discipline).
- Foundational knowledge or academic experience in software development.
- Working knowledge of computers, operating systems, and common applications.
- Experience (academic or practical) with one or more programming languages such as C, C++, C#, Visual Basic, or other object-oriented languages.
- Familiarity with development in Unix, Linux, Windows, and/or MS-DOS environments.
- Equivalent experience may be considered in lieu of a degree, depending on domain experience and contractual requirements.
