DESCRIPTION OF RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Maintain records, writes reports, and coordinate outside repairs.
- Execute Pre-Mission Requirements for on-site and remote missions to include but not limited to:
- provide planning data and reports for specific tasks to be performed.
- Prepare Pre-Mission Analysis Reports that identifies the full arrangement of authorized materiel requirements and expected shortages for the mission to include end items, including all component major items and Basic Issue Items (BII), Associated Support Items of Equipment (ASIOE), Special Tools and Test Equipment (STTE), Test, Measurement, and Diagnostic Equipment (TMDE), including test program and interconnecting devices where applicable, Medical Sets, Kits, and Outfits, Technical Publications
- Assist and/or provide technical mission guidance, various mission reports, conduct mission risk assessments, maintain deployability, in order to conduct mission operation.
- Execute on-site and remote Materiel Missions that include assisting and/or providing technical guidance for the de-processing, staging, inventory, and hand-off of materiel from APS, UDP, MMRP, FMS to other gaining units/agencies.
- Execute on-site and remove Materiel Mission that include assisting and/or providing technical guidance for retrograde of materiel.
- Responsible for equipment maintenance, test and site support.
- Repair maintenance, and calibration of assets.
- Reviews and provides improvement recommendations to equipment users and maintenance manuals.
- Effecting repairs on unserviceable equipment and preparing unserviceable equipment for evacuation.
- Ensure reports are accurately completed and submitted within established timelines for action.
- Makes use of medical equipment test devices such as analyzers, test meters, data loggers and voltage meters.
- Calibrates, maintains devices in working condition, and repairs them sending out for repair/calibration when unable to fix in-house.
REQUIRED DEGREE/EDUCATION/CERTIFICATION:
- Must have an Associate's Degree in Biomedical Electronics Technology OR an Association of Medical Instrumentation (AAMI) Certification in Biomedical Equipment Repair.
- Successful completion of the DoD Biomedical Equipment Technician program preferred.
- Certified Biomedical Equipment Technician (CBET) OR Certified Laboratory Equipment Specialist (CLES) Preferred.
REQUIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Must have comprehensive knowledge of policies, practices, procedures, and types of equipment in the Army Medical Command inventory.
DESIRED SKILLS AND EXPERIENCE:
- Army Medical Command logistics support experience is preferred
REQUIRED CITIZENSHIP AND CLEARANCE:
- Must be a U.S. Citizen
- Must hold an Active Secret clearance.
