Job Description
MANTECH seeks a career and customer-oriented Strategic Program Scheduler to join our team in Washington, D.C. This is a hybrid position with 3-4 days a week onsite and 1-2 days remote.

Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Providing project-specific support by offering observations and recommendations on potential impacts to schedules, budgets, and related projects. Assisting in analyzing key performance indicators and trends across financial, contract, risk, and communication management processes.
- Supporting the federal program manager in the development of Program Management Plans (PMPs) and Integrated Master Schedules (IMS) for complex acquisition programs. Use Microsoft Project or other tools to review, evaluate, and make recommendations on DHS S&T projects.
- Supporting Financial & Resource Oversight, including the review of program budgets and spend plans, evaluating fiscal performance, and helping to develop Resource Allocation Plans to maximize taxpayer value. Tracking project cost, schedule, and technical performance to ensure program success. Assess the status of critical path activities and contractual deliverables to proactively identify and mitigate potential projects risks related to cost, schedule and technical performance.
- Facilitating procurement documentation development in full compliance with DHS Acquisition Lifecycle Framework (ALF) and DHS Instruction 102-01-001
- Supporting Schedule & Risk Mitigation efforts by maintaining IMS and Work Breakdown Structures (WBS), managing milestones, interdependencies, and risk-based corrective actions. Evaluate schedules provided by contractors, other agencies, and internal entities to ensure they meet project requirements and have sound logic.
- Providing financial management support through coordination of all financial data calls, yearly budgets, spend plans, impact statements, mid-year reviews, V&V cycles, milestones, measurements, and other financial activities. Report information on the status of task order projects/associated modifications and evaluate the contracted system developers' execution against the established Performance Measurement Baseline metrics.
Minimum Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in a relevant discipline or additional equivalent experience
- 10+ years of relevant work experience in Business, Economics, Engineering Management, or Financial Management
- Proven experience in developing complex technical reports and briefings for senior leadership
- Experience using project management tools (e.g., MS Project, Primavera, Jira, or similar)
- Experience in budgeting, cost tracking, and variance analysis
- Knowledge of federal acquisition processes and documentation standards
Preferred Qualifications:
- Defense Acquisition University (DAU) or DHS Program Management certification
- In-depth experience with DHS acquisition policy and systems engineering lifecycle
- Strong understanding of DHS Acquisition Management Instruction 102-01-001 (ALF)
Clearance Requirements:
- Must be able to obtain and maintain a DHS Public Trust security clearance
Physical Requirements:
- Must be able to remain in a stationary position 50%
- Needs to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets, office machinery, etc.
- Frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations; must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations
