Overview
Integral is seeking a Senior IWMS / FM: Interact Engineer to lead sustainment, configuration, and enhancement of a mission-critical Integrated Workplace Management System (IWMS) supporting a DoD customer. The successful candidate will serve as the primary technical resource for the FM: Interact platform and associated SQL Server data environment. This role will support system administration, COTS configuration, data integration, workflow development, troubleshooting, release support, and cybersecurity compliance activities within a secure enterprise hosting environment.
This position is ideal for a hands-on engineer who understands how to keep a configured COTS platform running in production while also improving data quality, business workflows, and user experience
Responsibilities
· Serve as the lead technical resource for FM:Interact configuration, sustainment, and troubleshooting
· Configure and maintain IWMS modules supporting functions such as space management, occupancy, move management, room scheduling, asset/accountability, and related workflows
· Support integration between FM:Interact and external systems, including SQL Server databases and upstream/downstream data exchanges
· Analyze user requests and defects, recommend technical solutions, and implement approved changes in coordination with business analysts, developers, and system administrators
· Develop, maintain, and troubleshoot SQL queries, stored procedures, data mappings, and reconciliation routines
· Maintain system documentation including configuration notes, interface descriptions, technical procedures, and workflow diagrams
· Support testing, deployment, and release activities across development, test, staging, and production environments
· Work with infrastructure and cybersecurity teams to support patching, vulnerability remediation, STIG compliance, and RMF/ATO sustainment activities
· Participate in requirements sessions, technical reviews, and production support activities as the IWMS subject matter expert
· Help cross-train other team members to reduce single-point-of-failure risk in the IWMS environment
Qualifications
Required:
· U.S. Citizen, ability to obtain a Secret clearance
· Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, or related field (or equivalent work experience)
· 5+ years of experience supporting or configuring FM:Interact Workplace Management Suite or a closely related IWMS platform
· Experience working with query development, data analysis, and databases
· Experience configuring and sustaining COTS enterprise applications in a secure production environment
· Experience interfacing multiple databases or systems through data exchanges, reconciliation processes, or APIs
· Experience developing or maintaining workflows supporting facilities, occupancy, assets, moves, scheduling, or property/accountability functions
· Experience troubleshooting production issues and supporting releases in an Agile environment
· Ability to work directly with functional users, business analysts, system administrators, and government stakeholders
· Strong written and verbal communication skills
Preferred:
· Experience supporting DoD or federal facilities / property / asset management systems
· Experience with DISA Stratus, milCloud, or similarly controlled federal hosting environments
· Experience with RMF, STIGs, or ATO sustainment support
· Experience with Jira or similar DevSecOps / ticketing / release tools
· Experience with SQL Server
· Experience documenting technical configurations and creating operational runbooks or knowledge-transfer materials
