Job Description
Tyto Athene is searching for an Information Assurance Specialist with expertise in public safety environments to join our dynamic team supporting our Enterprise NG9-1-1 solution supporting customer's Public Service Answering Points (PSAP) across CONUS, Hawaii, and Guam. Technical knowledge of Next Generation 9-1-1 (NG9-1-1) systems, vendor coordination, stakeholder engagement with executives and agencies, and the ability to manage project teams and budgets to deliver the system on time and within scope.

Responsibilities:
- Develop, implement, and maintain security protocols for information systems.
- Perform vulnerability assessments and risk analyses to identify and mitigate potential threats.
- Monitor systems for security breaches and respond to incidents according to established procedures.
- Prepare and update documentation to support accreditation and certification of systems under RMF (Risk Management Framework).
- Coordinate with stakeholders to ensure compliance with NIST, FISMA, and DoD directives.
- Support audits and inspections, providing technical guidance as needed.
Qualifications
Required:
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, Information Technology, Cybersecurity, or related field, or sufficient prior work experience.
- Minimum of 3 years of experience in information assurance or cybersecurity, preferably in a DoD environment.
- Active DoD 8570 certification (e.g., Security+, CISSP, CISM).
- Strong knowledge of RMF, NIST SP 800-53, and DoD security compliance standards.
- Excellent analytical, communication, and documentation skills.
Desired:
- Experience with classified environments and secure data handling.
- Advanced certifications (e.g., CASP+, CCSP, CEH).
- Knowledge of DoD network infrastructure and security tools.

Compensation:
- Compensation is unique to each candidate and relative to the skills and experience they bring to the position. The salary range for this position is typically between $65,000-$85,000. This does not guarantee a specific salary as compensation is based upon multiple factors such as education, experience, certifications, and other requirements, and may fall outside of the above-stated range.
