General Function: .
  • The contractor is responsible for supporting the full range of facility and building management functions, covering both operational oversight and hands-on assistance across multiple systems and assets.
  • Duties include comprehensive asset management of furniture, equipment, and related accessories assigned to facilities, ensuring proper tracking, maintenance, and accountability.
  • The contractor must assist with maintenance and repair activities for systems furniture and other facility assets to ensure functionality, safety, and longevity.
  • Support extends to specialized areas such as communications infrastructure, energy conservation initiatives, hazardous material handling, accountable property management, and ground safety compliance.
  • The role also includes coordinating or supporting landscaping upkeep, fire safety training, and routine facility inspections to maintain standards and regulatory compliance.
  • The contractor is expected to analyze facility usage and provide recommendations to the U.S. Government (USG) regarding internal space reorganization, including planning and optimizing space assignments.
  • Daily self-inspections of facility systems are required, covering critical infrastructure such as refrigeration units, boilers and heating systems, air vents, elevators, electrical devices and timers, and circuit breaker panels.
  • Overall, the contractor acts as a support partner to ensure facilities are safe, efficient, compliant, and effectively organized through proactive monitoring and advisory services.

Qualifications:

Education/Certifications/Experience/Skills:
  • BA/BS with 10 -12 years of directly related experience or 15 years of directly related experience to this discipline preferred.
  • Must be proficient in the use of Microsoft programs (including Excel, Word, Outlook, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Access, Visio, and Project).
  • Must be able to perform all functional duties independently.
  • Must be able to transport self to various facility sites, as required. If using own motor vehicle, must possess a valid driver's license and proof of insurance.
