Koniag Professional Services, LLC is seeking a highly professional and experienced Senior Analytical & Operations Lead to support the Under Secretary of War for Research and Engineering (USW(R&E)) Chief Digital and AI Office (CDAO) Council. This individual will serve on a team that is the operational backbone of both the Council and supporting Small Groups, ensuring their efficient and effective operation. The role is responsible for seamless coordination among senior Department of War (DoW) stakeholders and requires the ability to prepare materials for senior executives and Flag Officers. You will play a key role in supporting logistics, operations, and the synthesis of findings to facilitate data-driven decision-making across the DoW enterprise.

Key Responsibilities:
Meeting Operations & Facilitation:
- Coordinate, schedule, and facilitate CDAO Council Meetings and ancillary Small Group Meetings, ensuring they are productive and aligned with strategic priorities.
Executive Briefings:
- Prepare, consolidate, and deliver concise, high-impact briefings and decision packages for senior executives and Flag Officers on forum activities, AI use cases, risk assessments, and strategic initiatives.
Stakeholder Coordination & Communication:
- Serve as a primary liaison, facilitating communication and coordinating activities with key stakeholders across Combatant Commands, Principal Staff Offices, the Military Departments, and DAFAs.
Analytical Support & Synthesis:
- Analyze and synthesize complex information related to the DoW AI Acceleration Strategy and CDAO & Department activities, providing insights to support informed decision-making.
Documentation & Record Keeping:
- Capture, formalize, and circulate detailed meeting minutes, key decisions, and action items. Maintain the official repository for all forum documentation, policies, and standards in accordance with DoW, CDAO, and internal record-keeping requirements.
Action Item Tracking:
- Monitor and track the status of all action items and initiatives of the CDAO Council and Small Groups, following up with responsible parties to ensure completion, and providing regular status updates to senior leadership.
Required Qualifications:
- Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, National Security Studies, or a related field (or equivalent professional experience).
- 8+ years of experience in a support analyst, project coordination, or staff officer role.
- Proven experience working within the Department of Waror a similar large-scale federal government environment.
- Demonstrated experience preparing materials for and briefing senior leaders, executives, and/or Flag Officers.
- Exceptional organizational skills, with a proven ability to manage multiple high-priority tasks and deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
- Superior written and verbal communication skills, with a high degree of attention to detail in all work products.
- Ability to work on a team, communicate and collaborate, share work products in real-time, delegate, and receive tasks with a mission/outcome first-oriented attitude.
- Self-starter who is not afraid to ask questions of leadership or peers, self-initiate, or work independently as required to get tasks up and going in the absence of direction.
- Experience with collaboration and task management tools used within the DoW, specifically MS Teams and SharePoint 365.
Clearance Requirement:
- An active Secret security clearance is required.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Direct experience supporting senior leaders within the USW(R&E), CDAO, a Combatant Command, or other OSW components.
- Familiarity with DoW AI policy, data governance frameworks, and policy, and strategic documents.
- Knowledge and use of CATMS.
- Experience with GitLab.
- An active Top Secret (TS) or TS/SCI security clearance.
Education:
- Bachelor's Degree in related field
Security pre-requisite:
- To be considered, must have a Current/Active DoD SECRET clearance and be eligible to be upgraded to TS/SCI
