The Opportunity :

Are you passionate about networking and eager to grow your skills in enterprise and tactical network environments? We are seeking an experience d Network Engineer to join our team in supporting the Department of War ( DoW ) by assisting in the design, implementation, and maintenance of critical network infrastructure. In this role, you'll collaborate with experience d engineers to troubleshoot issues, optimize performance, and ensure secure and scalable network operations across enterprise and tactical environments. What You'll Do:

• Assist in the design, implementation, and maintenance of enterprise network infrastructure, including LAN, WAN, and data center connectivity.
• Participate in the configuration, management, and troubleshooting of wireless LANs, controllers, and access points.
• Support the analysis of packet data using tools such as Wireshark.
• Work on network health assessments and performance tuning.
• C ond uct and document cybersecurity vulnerability scans to help ensure compliance with DoW standards.
• Develop and maintain basic documentation, network diagrams, and technical designs under the guidance of senior engineers.
• Provide first-line support to troubleshoot and resolve network issues across enterprise and tactical environments.
• Learn and implement DoW cybersecurity compliance standards and Security Technical Implementation Guides ( STIGs ) .

You Have:

• 4+ years of experience in IT or networking roles
• Experience with networking tools such as Wireshark or SolarWinds
• Knowledge of networking concepts and protocols such as TCP / IP, DHCP, ARP, HTTP, and SNMP
• Knowledge of routing and switching technologies
• Knowledge of cybersecurity principles and best practices
• Ability to create and interpret basic network diagrams and documentation
• Ability to travel up to 50% of the time
• Secret clearance
• HS diploma or GED
• IAT Level I Certification

Nice If You Have:

• Experience with wireless networking technologies or tools such as Aruba or Cisco wireless
• Experience with firewalls such as Palo Alto or Fortinet
• Knowledge of SD-WAN technologies
• Knowledge of cloud networking environments such as AWS, Azure, or GCP
• Knowledge of scripting or automation, including Python or Ansible
• Bachelor's degree in Engineering, IT, or a related field
• CompTIA Network+, CCNA, or CompTIA Security+ Certification s

Clearance:

Salary at Booz Allen is determined by various factors, including but not limited to location, the individual's particular combination of education, knowledge, skills, competencies, and experience, as well as contract-specific affordability and organizational requirements. The projected compensation range for this position is $61,900.00 to $141,000.00 (annualized USD). The estimate displayed represents the typical salary range for this position and is just one component of Booz Allen's total compensation package for employees.
