POSITION OVERVIEW


As a support contractor to NCIA's CIS Sustainment Unit (CSU), this position provides senior-level logistics and supply chain management expertise to ensure operational readiness of CIS assets across NCIA entities and external customers. As the Senior Logistician, you will manage distribution center operations, inventory management, and warehouse activities while maintaining property accounting records and enabling customer logistical requirements within established Service Level Agreements. You will develop and analyze logistics plans affecting production, distribution, and inventory; implement monitoring systems for shipment tracking and delivery status; and conduct detailed analysis of Asset Management system deficiencies to provide standards-compliant solutions. You will coordinate annual inventory inspections in accordance with NCIA directives, process requisitions and receiving through the Enterprise Business Application (EBA) system, and manage shipping and receiving operations between the CIS Sustainment Support Centre (CSSC), distributors, and stakeholders. You will participate in supply chain analysis to identify trends and improvement opportunities, support contract negotiations with carriers, and collaborate across multinational teams to maintain expected levels of service, all under the direction of the assigned COTR with flexibility to support surge requirements as needed.


JOB RESPONSIBILITIES:


  • Work with Distribution Requirements Planning (DRP) processes and operations, minimizing bottlenecks, delays, and their impact on operating costs.

  • Coordinate daily inventory management across multiple locations within a facility or supply network, devising benchmarks to improve processes and ensuring inventory levels meet internal and external requirements.

  • Develop and analyze logistics plans that affect production, distribution, and inventory through process improvement, prioritization, and project planning.

  • Implement and maintain monitoring systems providing shipment status, shipped date, in-transit location, estimated arrival, and actual delivery date.

  • Participate in supply chain analysis to spot trends and improvement opportunities, and support integration of partner and supplier transactions.

  • Manage warehouse operations including receiving, put-away, picking, packing, and shipping; analyze key performance indicators and maintain warehouse equipment and facilities.

  • Maintain NCIA CIS Assets Property Accounting Records for NCIA entities and external customers within the CSU Area of Responsibility.

  • Enable customer logistical requirements within Service Level Agreements (SLAs).

  • Execute annual inventory inspections in accordance with NCIA directives, coordinating with Account Holders across NCIA entities and external customers.

  • Conduct detailed analysis of Asset Management system deficiencies and provide solutions in line with existing standards to ensure operational readiness.

  • Monitor Account Holder inventory balance lists, ensuring all CIS equipment discrepancies are identified, investigated, documented, reported, and corrective actions implemented.

  • Process requisitions and receive goods through the Enterprise Business Application (EBA) system.

  • Manage shipping and receiving of equipment between the CIS Sustainment Support Centre (CSSC), distributors, and stakeholders.

  • Consult on major logistics processes, their interactions, and operational requirements.

  • Overseas travel, normally within the Euro-Atlantic AOR, can be expected.


REQUIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • 2-4 years of experience in Supply, Logistics, or Supply Chain Management.

  • Higher vocational training or secondary education in a relevant field.

  • NATO SECRET security clearance.

  • Ability to support physical task requirements, including lifting up to 25 lbs.

  • Thorough knowledge of English, both written and spoken.

  • Ability to effectively multi-task and prioritize in a fast-paced environment.

  • Capacity to work effectively as a member of a multinational and multidisciplinary team.

  • Disciplined and systematic approach to problem solving.

  • Excellent ability using contemporary office tools, including MS Office and communications systems.


DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:


  • Experience with Oracle Enterprise Business Applications (EBA) or CNAFS.

  • Completion of IPSAS - Asset Management Course.

  • Completion of Certified Asset Management Professional (CAMP) Course.

  • Knowledge of NATO Logistics Regulations.

  • Prior experience working in an international environment comprising both military and civilian elements.

  • Knowledge of NATO responsibilities and organization, including ACO and ACT.
