DAWSON is looking for a new employee that shall perform system administration tasks to meet security compliance protocols and maintain the functionality and connectivity of both NIPR and APEN/BLCSE networks. The individual must hold the required certifications to execute network operations and maintenance functions as outlined in the PWS including IAT Level II and platform-specific credentials.

- Salary range - $75,000 to $80,000

DAWSON is looking for a new employee that shall perform system administration tasks to meet security compliance protocols and maintain the functionality and connectivity of both NIPR and APEN/BLCSE networks. The individual must hold the required certifications to execute network operations and maintenance functions as outlined in the PWS including IAT Level II and platform-specific credentials.
Technical Support & User Assistance
- Provide technical assistance to users on both (Battle Lab Collaborative Simulation Environment) BLCSE and NIPR networks, including hardware and software troubleshooting.
- Instruct users on proper system usage, and ensure effective operation of collaborative environments using tools such as Microsoft Teams and Facilitator Pro.
- Build, configure, operate, and maintain both classified and unclassified BLCSE/NIPR networks to support persistent experimentation.
- Ensure networks are capable of enabling onsite and distributed participation, while supporting data collection, file storage, literature archiving, and experimentation data repositories.
- Diagnose and correct technical issues such as registry settings, group policies, User Account Control, permissions, client-server software, ports, and protocols.
- Provide support for LAN hardware (e.g., switches, routers), and maintain connectivity per the MEDCoE/ARNORTH APEN service agreement.
- Be onsite during all experiments to ensure immediate resolution of technical issues or disruptions.
System Administrator/System Maintenance Support - Install and configure operating systems (Red Hat Linux/CentOS and Windows variants).
- Perform account creation, printer/driver/patch installations, and system upgrades.
- Establish and manage network shares across Linux and Windows platforms.
- Participate in FCC Technical Work Groups, Admin Work Groups, and related BLCSE operational events.
Operation and Equipment Support - Set up, operate, and tear down NIPR and/or BLCSE equipment, including video teleconferencing systems (VTCs) and workstations, for both onsite and distributed events.
- Be prepared to operate from multiple locations, as the BLCSE facility and the contractors primary workstation may be in separate buildings or rooms.
- Support typically occurs on one network (classified or unclassified) at a time; priority will be set by the Experimentation leadership.
- Submit a weekly facility usage and activity report for the Medical Battle Lab to the government.
