Summary

Program Manager - Chenega - Chantilly, VA

Chenega is seeking an experienced Program Manager to lead all aspects of contract performance across multiple locations. This role oversees Protective Services operations, ensuring compliance with contractual requirements, company policies, and budget objectives. The Program Manager provides strategic direction to Site Managers, drives operational excellence, and ensures effective supervision of contractor personnel.

Responsibilities

  • Provides leadership and oversight for security services, industrial and personnel security, emergency management, and communication control center operations.
  • Directs and supports Site Managers in daily operations, ensuring effective personnel management and sound financial practices.
  • Develops strategic objectives, long‑range plans, and operational direction for all protective services functions.
  • Establishes and guides policy development, ensuring coordination with public agencies and alignment with contractual requirements.
  • Designs and manages organizational structures to optimize resources, maintain compliance with NASA standards, and apply current security and fire protection practices.
  • Ensures all site operations adhere to company policies, budget directives, and federal, state, local, and NASA regulations.
  • Serves as the primary customer interface, maintaining responsive communication with the CO and COR and overseeing all protective services personnel.
  • Other duties as assigned.


Qualifications

  • Must be at least 21 years old and possess a valid state driver's license.
  • Must hold and maintain a Top Secret security clearance and all required site‑specific permits, licenses, and certifications.
  • Bachelor's degree in law enforcement, police science, criminology, or a related field; equivalent education and experience accepted.
  • Minimum of ten years of security or law enforcement operations and administrative experience, including six years in a supervisory role.
  • Strong knowledge of installation security, resource protection principles, intrusion detection systems, and electronic security technologies.
  • Demonstrated experience applying NASA security regulations and supporting protection of manned and unmanned spaceflight hardware.
  • Must meet federal employment eligibility requirements and complete all required verification documentation upon hire.
