Overview
We are seeking Network Controllers / Network Administrators to support a 24x7 Global Network Support Center (GNSC) environment at Hill AFB. This role supports mission‑critical network and telecommunications services for Department of Defense and national security customers worldwide.
Candidates with prior NOC experience, especially in a military or DoD environment, and a strong troubleshooting mindset will be a good fit. The organization includes multiple specialized technical teams, and candidates will be aligned based on experience.
Team Environment
There are several technical teams within the NOC, each with a different focus area, including:
Router & Switch (Cisco / Juniper)
LAN / WAN Operations
Unified Communications (UC / VoIP)
IP & Transport Networks
Optical Networks
Satellite Communications
All teams require hands‑on troubleshooting experience in high‑availability environments.
Primary Responsibilities
Investigate and resolve network and telecommunications incidents
Monitor, analyze, and respond to network alarms and alerts
Identify, document, and troubleshoot network faults and performance issues
Configure, test, install, troubleshoot, and maintain network devices, including:
Routers, switches, firewalls, and cryptographic devices
Transport systems (MSPP, Promina, ATM, Optical)
Unified Communications systems, including VoIP, call managers, VTC systems, voicemail, and related infrastructure
Maintain network performance and security posture
Support LAN, WAN, transport, and IP services in a 24/7 operations environment
Required Qualifications
High School Diploma and 3+ years of relevant technical experience
(Additional experience may be accepted in lieu of a degree)
Active Secret or Top Secret security clearance
Candidates with Secret will be sponsored for upgrade to TS during contract‑to‑hire
Security+ CE (or equivalent DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification)
Prior experience in a NOC, network operations, or enterprise networking environment
Strong troubleshooting and analytical skills
Ability to work rotating shifts in a 24/7 operations center
Technical Experience (One or More Required)
Alarm surveillance and fault management
LAN maintenance and performance monitoring
Routers, switches, and routing protocols
Cisco and/or Juniper network equipment
Cryptographic devices and secure communications
DSN/DRSN, GVS
Optical and transport networking technologies
Nice‑to‑Have Skills
Prior military or DoD network operations experience
SIPR/NIPR network experience
Experience supporting large‑scale, mission‑critical networks
