Job Description Summary
Lead day-to-day plant operations that keep our production lines and service shops running safely, reliably, and on schedule. In this role, you will be a key driver of operational performance, translating plans into action and ensuring consistent delivery to our customers.
You will oversee the planning and execution of production activities within a well-defined operating framework, while having the autonomy to make informed decisions, solve problems in real time, and recommend improvements. Partnering closely with cross-functional teams, you will help ensure stability on the line, drive adherence to standards, and support initiatives that enhance quality, throughput, and cost.
The Lead Operations Specialist plays a pivotal role in elevating how we run our operations every day. You will be the driving force behind implementing and refining standard work, using your prior experience to systematically eliminate waste, streamline processes, and improve overall performance. Partnering with cross-functional teams, you'll lead the design, rollout, and sustainment of standard work that enables predictable, high-quality execution.
As a strategic thinker, you will leverage Operations KPIs to identify performance gaps, prioritize improvement opportunities, and drive actions that move the needle on safety, quality, delivery, and cost. Your work will directly shape how our teams operate and how effectively we deliver on our commitments.
In addition to leading continuous improvement initiatives within the Technology Development Center, you will also own the management of Government Property. This includes end-to-end responsibility for tracking, scrapping, auditing, and ensuring compliance with all applicable requirements-protecting both the business and our customers.
This role is ideal for an experienced operations professional who enjoys building structure, driving change, and seeing tangible results from their work in a fast-paced, technical environment.
