Job Description
The role supports the U.S. Army Ranger School, performing both scheduled and unscheduled maintenance on UH‑60L/M helicopters, including electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, and structural systems.
Key Responsibilities:
Remove, inspect, install, and service aircraft subsystems and components
Prepare aircraft for inspections and servicing
Perform troubleshooting and limited operational checks
Use technical manuals and government aviation systems for electronic logbook entries
Conduct phase maintenance as part of a team
Perform non‑crew duties when qualified
Support structural and sheet‑metal repairs (if qualified)
Temporary duty (TDY) may be required for aircraft repairs
Required Qualifications
Minimum 2 years documented UH‑60/H‑60 series experience OR
FAA A&P License plus 1 year general aviation experience
High school diploma or GED
Valid driver’s license
Ability to pass FAA/DOT and ongoing drug testing
Documentation of training and experience is required
Preferred / Desirable Qualifications
Technical Inspector experience on H‑60 aircraft
Familiarity with military technical publications and schematics
Experience with aircraft support equipment (hoists, tugs, slings, clamps)
Prior military aviation maintenance background
Physical & Work Environment
Work in hangars, workshops, and industrial aircraft areas
Frequent standing, climbing, bending, and working in confined or uncomfortable positions
Regular lifting up to 20 lbs, occasional lifting up to 50 lbs
Some lifting supported by mechanical devices
Annual respiratory fit testing required
