Description:This position is the Senior Manager of Base Management at the Strategic Weapons Facility Pacific in Silverdale, Washington: dedicated to the mission of providing, maintaining and protecting the Strategic Weapons systems for the Pacific Fleet Ballistic Missile Submarine Fleet. This position reports directly to the SWFPAC Director to assist in the management of 400+ LM SWFPAC employees with a budget of over $95M. The LM SWFPAC team is a combination of direct and matrixed organizations comprised of over 200 salaried and over 200 hourly represented employees who work closely with the other members of the SWFPAC and Government/Contractor teams. Base Management includes both direct and matrixed organizations, including Program Planning Documentation (PP&D), Continuous Improvement and Risk/Opportunity, Business Analytics, Human Resources, Finance, Information Technology, Quality Assurance, Self-Assessment, Security and Safety.
Responsibilities:
Developing and ensuring Base Management organizational objectives and deliverables are met.
Oversight of financial and contractual performance of LM Earned Value Management System.
Establish and improve operating policies and procedures that affect the Base Management organization. Participate in the negotiation of union contract and contract changes, as applicable.
Collaborate with senior leadership, industry peers and customer representatives concerning projects, operational decisions, technical activities, schedules and general overall performance of SWFPAC Base Management operations.
Conduct briefings and technical meetings for internal and external customers.
Ensure Base Management organizations meet critical schedules and resolve complex technical and operational problems.
Directly establish and administer projects, assignments and performance standards and provide training and development opportunities to all assigned personnel.
The leader selected for this position must possess strong leadership skills to guide a large/diverse Lockheed Martin workforce and influence personnel through the critical cultural and high operational tempos in support of upcoming program activation activities and SWF commonality initiatives.
Basic Qualifications:
B.S./B.A. in engineering, business or related field, or equivalent education and experience.
Demonstrated leadership skills and behaviors that align with the Full Spectrum Leadership Imperatives.
Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Top Secret Clearance with an Interim Secret granted prior to start.
Strong customer relations skills and direct customer interface experience.
Must have a documented leadership experience with leader of leaders experience.
Desired Skills:
Excellent oral and written communication skills.
Demonstrated experience building and leading highly effective teams to meet or exceed quality, cost, schedule and technical objectives.
Demonstrated knowledge of OSHA regulations, ANSI and NFPA standards, EPA regulations, and/or other associated compliance programs.* Demonstrated skills in change management and delegation.
Demonstrated ability to plan, propose, and manage organizational budgets and schedules using EVM methodologies.
Demonstrated experience with root cause, corrective action and continuous improvement methodologies.

Ability to Work Remotely: Onsite Full-time: The work associated with this position will be performed onsite at a designated Lockheed Martin facility.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $124,900 - $220,225. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
