What You Will Be Doing
This manager position will require leading a team of Tool Engineers and Manufacturing Engineers located in Palmdale, CA that develops plans and designs in support of Production Stand Up for classified programs.
This position will lead their team by providing managerial oversight and accountability for the following tasks:
• Work with other organizations to develop requirements and organizational execution metrics that will be briefed to senior leadership.
• Lead the organizational goals and support the line of business customers.
• Identify organizational/operational gaps and reach across the company resource base to secure solutions.
• Provide leadership and guidance to the Tooling/Manufacturing Integration Team.
Additional responsibilities include:
- Provide vision and guidance to a diverse set of teams, leading each to consistently deliver value on time and under cost.
- Implement the business methodology, processes, and tempo which drives each of the organizations to project completion.
- Provide a high level of technical engagement and aircraft assembly/fabrication knowledge.
- Actively engage within the design and execution process.

• Knowledge of the Tool engineering processes.

Desired Skills:
• Experience with proposals and program startup.
• Knowledge and experience in programs that successfully demonstrate a digital thread.
• Demonstrated ability to utilize Culture of Accountability (COA) principles and create a positive team environment.
• Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate the need for change and motivate teams to keep commitments and exceed goals.
• Good oral and written communication skills with the ability to effectively communicate with senior leadership and customers.
• Knowledge of LM Aero Capital and Tooling design, acquisition, and planning processes and systems.
• Prior experience planning and executing a production operations stand up.
• Knowledge of tooling, planning, and manufacturing methods.
• Knowledge and experience performing and managing producibility and affordability improvements.
• Experience working/leading within LM Aero Earned Value and Cost Accounting systems.
• Demonstrated ability to form partnerships across organizations and/or business units to improve execution and performance.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $99,700 - $175,835. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
