THE WORK
Field Technician for SPY-1 Array Resurfacing. Will perform stripping and preparation of array surfaces in conjunction with array resurfacing on AEGIS class cruisers and destroyers. The work is primarily done in a closed environment on scaffolding. Employee required to wear appropriate PPE, e.g., face mask, for the working situation. Employee may perform shipboard installations as part of a team conducting ship and ordnance alterations in between array resurfacings.
This is a high travel position (>60%), with assignments domestically and internationally, such as Norfolk VA, San Diego CA, Pearl Harbor HI, and Yokosuka, Japan. The position will require working overtime, and weekends and holidays occasionally, to to meet customer schedule commitments.

Basic Qualifications:
- Navy ship board experience
- Shipyard experience
- Must have valid driver's license
- Must have or be capable of obtaining a US passport
- Ability to obtain and maintain a DOD Interim & Final Secret security clearance, which requires U.S. citizenship
- Able to perform work onboard ships to include climbing / descending ladders and scaffolding
- Able to work as part of a team and take
direction
- Able to lift and carry tools bags and 5-gal containers across the work area
Desired Skills:
• Experience with SPY-1 array resurfacing
• Experience with operating or maintaining the AEGIS Combat System and Weapon System
• Experience with equipment ripout and installation
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.
