As a Materials and Processes Engineer you will be engaged with work on a broad range of projects in both a laboratory and manufacturing environment that will challenge you to learn and grow in your career. Working side by side with designers, test and manufacturing engineers, you'll use your education, experience and growing expertise to develop and evaluate new and innovative technology to survive in the most hostile of environments.
In this role you will:
• Perform Materials and Processes (M&P) technical engineering assignments related to hardware assembly processes and testing.
• Provide technical evaluation and support of manufacturing issues/concerns.
• Participate in the M&P selection, qualification, testing, and failure analysis, prepare technical and progress reports on work you're doing, prepare specifications, evaluate suppliers and analyze test reports.
• Coordinate with other disciplines such as Design Engineering, Manufacturing, Quality Engineering, and Procurement.

• A self-starter who develops solutions to technical issues
• A motivated individual who's able to work closely within a geographically diverse team to resolve technical issues
• Someone with the ability to handle shifting priorities, multiple projects and timeline pressure to meet deadlines
• Someone comfortable with communicating in a variety of forums
• The ability to work with management and program representatives at several levels

Basic Qualifications:
• Experience with a variety of materials and processes engineering disciplines
• Experience in establishing and implementing technical requirements for materials in structural hardware
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings and Bill of materials (BOMs)
Experience with creating and reviewing specification documents
• Eligibility and willingness to obtain/maintain a Government Top Secret security clearance - US Citizenship required
Desired Skills:
• Experience with a variety of materials and processes engineering disciplines including organic materials (i.e. polymers, composites, etc.) adhesives and films, bonding, cleaning, failure
analysis, and manufacturing operations.
• Experience in establishing and implementing technical requirements for materials in structural hardware
• Experience reviewing engineering drawings and Bill of materials (BOMs) to ensure compliance to program requirements and providing guidance to design, stress, and manufacturing engineers.
• Experience communicating with internal and
external customers on a regular basis
• Non-conformance and failure analysis
disposition experience
• Previous coordination or oversight with
hardware suppliers and subcontractors
• Ability to multi-task, handle shifting priorities
and timeline pressure to meet project deadlines
• Active or Current Top Secret clearance

Schedule for this Position: 9x80 every other Friday off
