The Lockheed Martin RMS Lab Design & Management team supports some of the most vital defense systems, including the U.S. Navy's AEGIS Combat System, the Coast Guard's maritime security platforms, Littoral Combat Ship (LCS), Solid State Radar, Homeland & Expeditionary Defense, and a wide range of research and development programs. Our engineering and lab design efforts ensure these mission critical systems operate effectively, reliably, and securely in defense of national and global security interests.

The Work

The Moorestown Off Site Lab Technician Manager is the first line leader responsible for the day to day operations of a high performing technical team. This role oversees system and lab readiness within the Moorestown Development Lab portfolio, specifically at:
• Combat System Engineering & Development Site (CSEDS)
• Maritime Domain Awareness Center (MDAC) for the U.S. Coast Guard
• Ship Self Defense System (SSDS) Facility
The manager also provides support to other teams and mission areas as needed.

Key Responsibilities
• Manage program cost, schedule, and technical performance.
• Lead the team through staffing, training, and professional development.
• Oversee workload and tasking, with support from team leads.
• Partner with site and program leadership to resolve site and lab related issues.
• Monitor Earned Value Management (EVM) metrics.
• Track Service Central tickets to ensure timely closure of issues.
• Ensure team readiness for milestone test events.
• Collaborate with NSCC and PTC technical teams to harmonize processes and build efficiencies across groups.

Basic Qualifications:
• 10 years of technical, lab support, or military experience
• Program Management Experience with cost, schedule, and performance management; familiarity with Earned Value Management (EVM)
• Ability to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret level clearance
Desired Skills:
• Experience in Navy/defense development lab operations, Navy FC(A)/ET, or related military technical background
• Proven ability to interface with customers as required
• Prior management or team lead experience
• Exceptional problem solving and decision making skills under pressure
• Strong organizational and interpersonal abilities
• Cost Account Management (CAM) certification (preferred)
• Background with AEGIS, Coast Guard, or SSDS programs
• Familiarity with Lockheed Martin processes and reviews
• Passion for mentoring and developing engineering talent
• Active Secret (or higher) clearance

Ability to Work Remotely: Part-time Remote Telework: The employee selected for this position will work part of their work schedule remotely and part of their work schedule at a designated Lockheed Martin facility. The specific weekly schedule will be discussed during the hiring process.
Work Schedules: Lockheed Martin supports a variety of alternate work schedules that provide additional flexibility to our employees. Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $104,500 - $184,115. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.

(Washington state applicants only) Non-represented full-time employees: accrue at least 10 hours per month of Paid Time Off (PTO) to be used for incidental absences and other reasons; receive at least 90 hours for holidays. Represented full time employees accrue 6.67 hours of Vacation per month; accrue up to 52 hours of sick leave annually; receive at least 96 hours for holidays. PTO, Vacation, sick leave, and holiday hours are prorated based on start date during the calendar year.
This position is incentive plan eligible.
