Tactical and Heavy Equipment Mechanic

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting a Tactical and Heavy Equipment Mechanic in Niland, California; San Diego, California; Virginia Beach, Virginia; and Poca, West Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Maintain tactical vehicles built by Oshkosh, AM General, Mack, International, and Freightliner manufacturers
• Provide support to the automotive and heavy truck equipment
• Use specialized software to record maintenance actions, track time and document parts ordered and installed
• Understand and follow all safety, hazardous material, and facility access regulations

Required Qualifications and Experience

• U.S. citizen
• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Possess Secret security clearance (Secret Clearance is not required for contractors working at the Poca, West Virginia facility)
• Five years' experience at an Intermediate-or depot-level military maintenance facility, OR have E6 - E7 equivalent military experience maintaining Civil Engineering Support Equipment
• Possess an Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) certification in diesel engines and at least ONE other Heavy Truck or Military Tactical Vehicle Wheeled Vehicle categories such as Drive Train; Brakes; Suspension & Steering; Electrical; Heating & A/C and Preventative Maintenance (ASE requirement can be waived with five years of experience as a Depot-Level Shop lead Mechanic or Supervisor)
• Commercial Driver's License preferred
