MANAGEMENT ANALYST

Duties

• You will serve as a Program and Policy Analyst and Action Officer, providing support to the Director for Policy and assisting in coordinating and monitoring all Department of Navy (DoN) policy and plans related to DoD strategic guidance.
• You will provide advice, counsel and executive assistance to the Director for Policy on all matters under your cognizance.
• You will propose, implement and review policies, plans and programs of critical importance to the DoN and propose ideas, concepts and approaches for resolution of significant issues.
• You will ensure proper coordination of staffing actions for the Policy team and serve as the DoN point of contact for staffing actions.
• You will represent the Director for Policy on boards, commissions and working groups and participate in special studies, analyses and evaluations of sensitive matters.

• You will be required to obtain and maintain an interim and/or final Top Secret w/ SCI security clearance prior to entrance on duty. Failure to obtain and maintain the required level of clearance may result in the withdrawal of job offer or removal.
• Successful completion of a pre-employment drug test (including marijuana) is required. A tentative offer of employment will be rescinded if you fail to report to the drug test appointment or pass the test. You will be subject to random testing.
• This position may require travel from normal duty station to CONUS and OCONUS and may include remote or isolated sites. You must be able to travel on military and commercial aircraft for extended periods of time.
• You will be required to complete training, obtain, and maintain a government credit card for travel and travel-related purchases.

Qualifications

Your resume must demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience at or equivalent to the GS-13 grade level or pay band in the Federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector. Specialized experience must demonstrate the following: coordinating and monitoring policies and plans related to strategic guidance (e.g. Quadrennial Defense Review, National Defense Strategy, Guidance for Employment of the Force, global force management, readiness); developing and implementing policies, plans and programs in support of organizational priorities and objectives; AND using quantitative and qualitative methods and techniques to develop recommendations for programmatic issues, projects and administrative activities.
