Senior DevOps Engineer

We are seeking a Senior DevSecOps Engineer / Kubernetes Architect to lead infrastructure design, Kubernetes platform deployment, and DevSecOps toolchain integration within a secure cloud environment. This role is responsible for architecting and implementing scalable infrastructure solutions, supporting application onboarding, and ensuring consistency across multi-environment deployments.

The ideal candidate brings deep expertise in Kubernetes (EKS), Terraform, and modern DevSecOps practices, along with experience supporting secure, mission-focused cloud environments.

Responsibilities

• Lead the design, deployment, and management of Kubernetes clusters (EKS) across mission and service environments
• Deploy and maintain DevSecOps toolchains, including platforms such as GitLab, ArgoCD, Vault, and Nexus
• Design and implement infrastructure using Terraform, ensuring scalable and secure infrastructure as code (IaC) practices
• Configure and validate AWS services including Application Load Balancers (ALB), EC2, SES, and SQS
• Oversee deployment and configuration consistency across multiple environments (e.g., development, staging, production)
• Support onboarding of applications into Kubernetes environments and integration with CI/CD pipelines
• Troubleshoot complex infrastructure and application issues, and optimize system performance
• Ensure platform reliability, scalability, and compliance with security requirements
• Collaborate with engineering and operations teams to support continuous delivery and platform improvements

Required Qualifications

• CompTIA Security+ certification (or equivalent DoD 8570/8140 certification)
• Active Secret clearance
• Active CAC or ability to obtain immediately
• 8-12 years of relevant experience in DevOps, cloud engineering, or infrastructure engineering
• Strong hands-on experience with Kubernetes, particularly Amazon EKS
• Expertise in infrastructure as code using Terraform
• Experience deploying and managing cloud infrastructure in AWS environments
• Experience integrating and managing CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps toolchains
• Strong troubleshooting and performance tuning skills across distributed systems
• Experience with AWS GovCloud environments (Cloud One preferred)
• Experience working with tools such as GitLab and ArgoCD

Desired Qualifications

• Experience with DoD DevSecOps platforms such as Big Bang, Iron Bank, or Platform One
• Experience working in secure or regulated cloud environments
• Familiarity with multi-environment deployment strategies and high-availability architectures
