Job Description

Description: NSI requires multiple Senior Acquisition & Program Management Analysts to support the DAX (Acquisition Support) Office within the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). This office serves as the central hub for acquisition execution, acting as the primary facilitator and advisor for some of the most critical and high-visibility programs across MDA.
DAX is the go-to resource for senior leadership, including the Director of Acquisition, and interfaces across program offices, external agencies, and Congressional stakeholders. Major acquisition efforts-such as advanced missile defense initiatives (e.g., Golden Dome, Shield)-flow through this office.
These roles are ideal for professionals who understand DoD acquisition at a deep level and want to be directly involved in guiding major weapon systems through the full acquisition lifecycle.

Key Responsibilities:
  • Support execution and oversight of DoD acquisition programs across the full lifecycle
  • Advise senior leadership and program managers on acquisition strategy, policy, and execution
  • Coordinate across program offices, external agencies, and stakeholders (including Congressional interfaces)
  • Track and manage acquisition schedules, milestones, and decision points
  • Ensure alignment with DoD 5000 series acquisition frameworks and processes
  • Assist in preparation of briefings, reports, and acquisition documentation
  • Provide hands-on support to ensure programs stay on schedule and compliant with requirements
  • Serve as a trusted advisor and facilitator across complex acquisition efforts
Senior Level Analyst
  • 12-15+ years of experience as a Program Manager or senior acquisition professional supporting ACAT I/II programs
  • Deep expertise in major defense acquisition program lifecycle management
  • Proven ability to advise senior leaders and influence acquisition strategy
Location: Huntsville, AL (On-Site)

Education: Bachelor's Degree (BA/BS) or equivalent experience

Experience: Strong familiarity with DoD acquisition frameworks (DoD 5000 series). Experience supporting the Missile Defense Agency (MDA). Understanding of milestones, acquisition phases, and program execution requirements.

Security Clearance: Top Secret Clearance is required. Must be a U.S. citizen.
