In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management, Logistics Management Series, 0346.
SPECIALIZED EXPERIENCE: Applicants must have at least one (1) year of specialized experience at the next lower broadband NH-II, equivalent to the next to lower grade GS-11 or equivalent in the Federal Service. Specialized experience must include: directing, developing, or performing logistics management operations that involve planning, coordinating, or evaluating the logistical actions required to support a specified mission, material management flight, or other designated program; defining, organizing, and assigning activities to accomplish project/program goals; guiding, motivating, and overseeing the activities of individuals and teams with focus on project/program issues.
KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:Knowledge of a wide range of advanced principles, concepts, procedures, standards, and techniques of Integrated Logistics Support (ILS) sufficient to plan and execute a complex and difficult product support program; and to apply new developments to issues for which previous techniques are frequently inadequate. Knowledge of agency program goals and objectives and the sequence and timing of key program events and
milestones; and of planning, programming, presenting, and executing budgets as well as forecasting long-term
funding requirements. Knowledge of the logistics functions, programs, and systems applicable to product support; and the sources,
responsibilities, and means for providing assistance and advice related to life cycle integrated logistics. Knowledge of safety, security, personnel management, and EEO regulations, practices, and procedures. Skill and ability to plan, organize, and direct the staff of an organization, including special study teams and task
forces composed of members from different organizations and commands. Ability to communicate clearly, concisely, and with technical accuracy, both orally and in writing. PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
VOLUNTEER WORK EXPERIENCE: Refers to paid and unpaid experience, including volunteer work done through National Service Programs (i.e., Peace Corps, AmeriCorps) and other organizations (e.g., professional; philanthropic; religious; spiritual; community; student and social). Volunteer work helps build critical competencies, knowledge and skills that can provide valuable training and experience that translates directly to paid employment.You will receive credit for all qualifying experience, including volunteer experience.

This is an acquisition demonstration project position NH-III equivalent to a GS-12 to GS-13.

- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time.
- Plans, organizes, and oversees the activities of the Materiel Management Flight.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
- Directs the Materiel Management Flight that is responsible for stocking, storing, issuing, managing, inventorying, and inspecting DoD supplies and equipment for the installation.
- Represents the installation for Delta/squadron Logistics Readiness, Materiel Management issues at higher management-level meetings within the organization and at conferences with MAJCOM, HQ USAF, DOD, and other agencies.
