MANTECH seeks a motivated, career and customer-oriented Combatant Craft Design Support Technician to join our team in Virginia Beach, VA.
The CCD In-Client Design Support Technician will leverage their technical background to support the tracking of critical deliverables, including engineering changes and boat alterations. This role ensures the accuracy of technical data and supports lifecycle cost savings through diligent configuration management and administrative oversight.

The CCD In-Client Design Support Technician will leverage their technical background to support the tracking of critical deliverables, including engineering changes and boat alterations. This role ensures the accuracy of technical data and supports lifecycle cost savings through diligent configuration management and administrative oversight.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- You will help track all deliverables, such as engineering changes and boat alterations, to provide required improvements and correct service deficiencies
- This role supports the analysis of deliverable statuses and financials to produce life cycle cost savings and identify process bottlenecks
- You will maintain Configuration Management (CM) files, including configuration identification, change control, and status accounting records
- This role involves working closely with CCD, program management, and engineers in an integrated product team environment
- You will develop and evaluate business rules for established processes to recommend ways to improve efficiency
- You will manage the configurations of software, engineering documents, and design drawings while conducting necessary design audits
Minimum Qualifications:
- High School Diploma or GED
- 3+ years of experience in technical documentation or configuration management within a government contracting environment
- Experience with the Navy Flank Speed program
- Experience with Microsoft 365 (suite of tools) (SharePoint, Teams, Lists, Planner, Workflows, Power Apps, etc.).
- Experience with Configuration Management Professional (CMPRO). CMPRO is a proprietary Configuration Management (CM) and Data Management (DM) software product that is only produced by PSA
- Experience with Configuration Management (CM) identification, change control, and status accounting records
- Experience maintaining and updating funding spreadsheets, spend plans, and monthly expenditure reports
- Skilled in developing and maintaining metrics spreadsheets and recording detailed meeting minutes for technical status meetings
Preferred Qualifications:
- Prior experience supporting Department of the Navy (DoN) required documentation and standards
- Familiarity with tracking Standard and Non-Standard boat drawings via CCD tracking systems
- Experience assisting Business Systems Managers (BSM) with funding breakouts and transfers
- Experience issuing government-approved engineering drawings and documents to an approved Technical Data Repository (TDR)
- Proficient in developing, updating, and maintaining engineering schedules using Microsoft Project
Clearance Requirements:
- An active Secret clearance is required.
Physical Requirements:
- You must be able to remain in a stationary position 50% of the time.
- You will need to occasionally move about inside the office to access file cabinets and office machinery.
- This role frequently communicates with co-workers, management, and customers, which may involve delivering presentations.
- You must be able to exchange accurate information in these situations.
