Description

SAIC is seeking a detail-oriented and mission-focused Cybersecurity Systems Administrator to support cybersecurity compliance, system accreditation, and network operations within a government development and test environment in Crane, IN. This position plays a critical role in maintaining system security posture, supporting Authority to Operate (ATO) activities, and ensuring compliance with Department of Defense and Department of the Navy cybersecurity requirements. The selected candidate will work across development, test, and operational environments, supporting both unclassified and classified systems.

The Cybersecurity Systems Administrator will be responsible for but not limited to the following duties:
  • Maintain secure access to government networks and systems, including SIPRNet and NMCI, to support the transmission of cybersecurity artifacts and coordination with government stakeholders.
  • Support ATO package development and sustainment using systems of record such as eMASS, MCCAST, and DADMS/DITPR-DON.
  • Conduct and manage vulnerability assessments using tools such as ACAS, Fortify Static Code Analyzer (SCA), and container scanning solutions across Windows and Linux environments.
  • Analyze, document, and track vulnerabilities through Plan of Action and Milestones (POA&M) in accordance with program schedules and government direction.
  • Perform regular cybersecurity scans on developer, test, and operational systems, including monthly ACAS scans and configuration compliance checks using Evaluate-STIG.
  • Apply Security Technical Implementation Guides (STIGs), patches, and configuration updates to maintain system compliance and reduce risk.
  • Generate and submit Objective Quality Evidence (OQE), including scan results, STIG checklists, and POA&M updates, to support system accreditation and enclave authorization.
  • Participate in formal test events, conduct cybersecurity assessments on Systems Under Test (SUT), and produce post-event Cybersecurity Reports within required timelines.
  • Track and communicate vulnerabilities and configuration issues through ticketing systems such as Jira, ensuring timely mitigation and coordination with project and technical leads.
  • Review and adjudicate cybersecurity-related tickets within development environments using tools such as Git Extensions or similar platforms.
  • Collaborate with engineering, testing, and government cybersecurity personnel (ISSM, SCA, AO) to ensure alignment with program security requirements and milestones.
  • Maintain system and cybersecurity documentation in accordance with program and government standards


Qualifications

Required Education:
  • Bachelor's degree and zero (0) years' experience; additional four (4) years' experience can be considered in lieu of degree


Required Clearance:
  • Must possess an active Secret security clearance with the ability to maintain; US Citizenship required.


Required Skills:
  • Experience supporting DoD cybersecurity frameworks, including RMF and ATO processes.
  • Hands-on experience with vulnerability scanning tools (ACAS), STIG implementation, and POA&M management.
  • Familiarity with eMASS, MCCAST, and DADMS/DITPR-DON or similar systems.
  • Strong understanding of Windows and Linux system administration in both physical and virtual environments.
  • Experience working in development and test environments, including participation in formal test events.
  • Excellent attention to detail, with strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Effective written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interface with technical teams and government stakeholders.
  • Ability to manage multiple priorities and meet scheduled deliverables.


Required Certifications:
  • Must obtain and maintain DoD Cyber Workforce Framework (CWF) certification requirements, such as CompTIA Security+.
