Location: Dayton, OH (preferred) | Remote Eligible (CAC Access Required)
Clearance: Active TS/SCI Preferred | Secret Eligible for Upgrade | U.S. Citizenship Required

Rackner is supporting mission-critical programs within the national security and intelligence community, focused on integrating AI/ML capabilities into operational systems.
We are hiring a Platform Engineer to build and operate the cloud-native infrastructure that enables AI systems to deploy, scale, and perform in secure environments.
This role ensures AI/ML capabilities move beyond development into real-world operational impact.
What You’ll Do
Design and operate Kubernetes (K8s) platforms supporting AI/ML workloads
Build and manage containerized environments (Docker, Helm)
Develop Infrastructure as Code (Terraform, Ansible)
Build and optimize CI/CD pipelines (GitLab, Jenkins, GitHub Actions)
Enable data pipelines and ML workflows (ingestion, transformation, lifecycle support)
Integrate services into secure, mission-critical systems
Implement monitoring and observability (Prometheus, Grafana)
Collaborate across teams to deliver reliable, production-ready systems
Required Qualifications
Active TS/SCI clearance OR active Secret clearance with ability to upgrade
U.S. citizenship required
Experience with Kubernetes in production environments
Experience with containerization (Docker, Helm)
Experience with Infrastructure as Code (Terraform or Ansible)
Experience with CI/CD pipelines and DevSecOps practices
Understanding of distributed systems or microservices architectures
Preferred Qualifications
Experience supporting AI/ML systems, MLOps, or data pipelines
Experience working in classified or secure environments
Familiarity with event-driven architectures (Kafka or similar)
Experience with observability tools (Prometheus, Grafana)
Cloud experience (AWS, Azure, or hybrid environments)
