Northrop Grumman Aeronautics Systems has an opening for a Senior Principal Project Manager to join our team of individuals within our Product Support organization supporting the F-35 JSF Program located in El Segundo, CA. This critical team lead role will be full-time in the office with nominal travel responsibilities, including potential for international travel.
Accomplish
This role will support and work directly with the F-35 Sustainment Program Office, support customer operations in a variety of locations, include all aspects for overseeing repair operations and supplier progress, and providing timely, knowledge-based project management direction. Position will have direct supervisory and/or management responsibilities for the F-35 Production Repair Program, with focus on customer and supplier management and program operations management.

Primary Level Salary Range: $117,500.00 - $176,300.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

In this role, the selected candidate will be expected to:
- Provide daily leadership, direction and development of the F-35 Production Repair Program and Supply Support Item Management team, ensuring members have sufficient training, statement of work and accountable for quality and timeliness of deliverables to customers
- Collaborate proactively with Program Leadership on significant emerging pressures, mitigation plans, and cost improvement opportunities; drive affordability initiatives to improve operational efficiencies throughout the Production Repairs Statement of Work (SOW)
- Lead coordination and support of internal and external meetings by collecting and summarizing Subject Matter Expert (SME) inputs and collaborate in discussions regarding hardware status, cost, schedule, technical topics and recovery
- Drive integration of efficiency initiatives, requirements, configuration, as well as other program needs to include management and mitigation of issues and risks
- Interface with Global Supply Chain (GSC) to support timely completion of repairs
- Develop Integrated Product Team (IPT) agenda topics and participate in various customer telecons to discuss and resolve issues of concern
- Participate in long-term planning activities to support program success

Basic Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree with 8 years of relevant program integration, supply chain and/or logistics experience OR a Master's Degree and 6 years of relevant program integration, supply chain and/or logistics experience
- Prior experience working with cross-functional organizations (Program Office, Engineering, Manufacturing, Purchasing, Business Management, Field Operations, etc.)
- General knowledge of business systems (SAP and MES)
- Proficient in use of Microsoft business tools (Visio, Excel, Project, MS Teams)
- Experience leading a team and/or project and interfacing with external customers
- Basic knowledge of earned value processes and procedures
- Your ability to obtain and maintain a government Secret clearance and any program access(es) required for the position within a reasonable period of time, as determined by the company
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's Degree in a business or technical field
- F-35 program experience
- Prior program and/or functional management experience
- Proficiency using program business tools; SAP, JDL, and MES
- Executive writing and presentation skills
- Experience in spares, repairs, change requests/modifications, and support equipment
- Program and portfolio management experience
- Experience managing capital and / or indirect budgets
- Active, In scope DoD Secret clearance
