Job Description
Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking an Implementation Network Engineer to support our client on Scott Air Force Base in St. Louis, MO. The Implementations Network Engineer will oversee installation, configuration, testing, and activation of network services supporting DISA-managed environments, working closely with customers, solution architects, vendors, and project managers to deliver compliant, end-to-end connectivity. This role requires an active Secret government security clearance in order to be considered.
Responsibilities of the Implementation Network Engineer include:
· Coordinate directly with customers and stakeholders to execute Initial Test and Acceptance (IT&A) and new service activations in accordance with DISA standards
· Implement, configure, and test network devices using approved configuration templates and configlets
· Manage Service Orders and Telecommunication Service Orders (TSOs) in alignment with Change Management processes
· Analyze DISN systems and supporting databases to validate customer requirements and engineered solutions
· Coordinate circuit activations with commercial vendors to establish end-to-end network connectivity
· Monitor network performance post-implementation to identify impacts, validate traffic behavior, and resolve issues
· Collaborate with DISA project managers and customers to resolve unclear or incomplete requirements and facilitate required approvals
Qualifications for the Implementation Network Engineer include:
· Bachelor's degree with 4-8 years of relevant experience, or Master's degree with 2-6 years of experience
· Hands-on experience configuring, activating, testing, and analyzing enterprise network systems
· Strong knowledge of routing and switching technologies including BGP, ISIS, VLANs, and WAN circuit configurations
· Experience with network services such as TCP/IP, DNS, DHCP, VPN, VRF, and firewall technologies
· Familiarity with DoD telecommunications concepts and network implementation processes
· Active Secret security clearance
· DoD 8570 IAT Level II certification (Security+ CE or equivalent)
Compensation for the Implementation Network Engineer includes:
· Salary Range: $70,000-$85,000 depending on experience
