Description:Lockheed Martin is seeking a seeking Senior Level Quality Engineer to support an Advanced Programs significant development program with the potential to be a franchise program. to be based in Grand Prairie, TX.
The position will require working flexible hours and travel out of the assigned geographical area to support suppliers across the United States.
What You Will Be Doing
Your responsibilities will include, but are not limited to:
-Performance at suppliers of scheduled product source inspections, first articles, and product validations as outlined by AS9102 and applicable company and industry standards
-Provide internal and supplier support for root cause and corrective/preventive actions.
-Support Supplier requests tied to program requirements, interface with customer needs and program management activities
-Participate (as required) in supplier's failure/diagnosis and Material Review Board (MRB) activities
-Perform on-going surveillance of supplier's conformance to Lockheed Martin requirement documents and provide written weekly reports
-Provide technical liaison support related to quality engineering matters
-Ensure supplier contract flow-down requirements are implemented and verified and interfaces with supplier on a daily basis

MUST BE A U.S. CITIZEN - This position is located at a facility that requires special access. The selected candidate must be able to obtain a secret clearance.
Basic Qualifications:
STEM degree at the Bachelor level or above in one of the following disciplines: Aerospace, Mechanical, Electrical, or Industrial Engineering or equivalent experience/combined education
Must have ability to obtain a security clearance
Demonstrated understanding of audit techniques
A strong understanding of Geometric Dimensioning and Tolerancing (GD&T)
Must have knowledge and understanding of critical design attributes
Strong understanding of engineering requirements and mechanical and electrical inspection methods - ability to interpret drawings, specifications, contracts that will enable development and review of QE Processes, and related Performance Metrics
Experience with performing First Article Inspections to AS9102 requirements
Experience with control and disposition of non-conforming Material (Material Review Board)
An understanding and knowledge of special processes and an overall understanding of how to manage and interface with suppliers daily to support the Program
Desired Skills:
STEM degree at Bachelors level or higher preferred
An extensive understanding of the MFC SAP / ERP and P2P business systems
ASQ Certification or Lean Six Sigma Certification (Green Belt/Black Belt)
Strong familiarity with New Product Development
Ability to certify/approve a supplier to perform specified / special processes
Strong understanding in AS9100 and ISO 9001 Quality Management Systems
Experience with source inspection and surveillance activities at suppliers
Demonstrated Leadership and Customer Relationship Management skills
Earned Value Management System Cost Account Manager (EVMS CAM) certification
Capable of performing root cause analysis and identifying solutions to complex problems utilizing causal analysis tools - must be able to identify and document supplier's quality deficiencies and ensure effective corrective actions are identified and implemented
Individual should be a self-starter who can work autonomously with minimal direction
Strong organizational skills and the ability to work in a dynamic environment
Strong communication skills (both oral and written)
Must be able to effectively communicate and interact with Suppliers, Quality Program Management, Technical Operations, Manufacturing, Government Representatives, and other stakeholders
