  • At the GS-12 you will perform developmental duties as assigned. At the full performance level (GS-13) you will perform the following:
  • You will create or oversee development of cyber operational test and evaluation plans in support of acquisition program and stakeholder requirements.
  • Identify and describe target vulnerability for test objective creation.
  • You will develop or recommend analytic approaches or solutions to problems and situations for which information is incomplete or for which no precedent exists.
  • You will devise, document, and validate cyber operation strategy and planning documents.
  • You will provide input for the development and refinement for the cyber operations objectives, priorities, strategies, plans, and programs.

  • This is a Cyberspace Workforce position, work role code 121 Exploitation Analyst, intermediate level the incumbent is required to obtain and maintain qualifications in DoDM 8140.03 Cyber Workforce Qualification and Department of Navy policies.
Qualifications

Experience must be IT related; the experience may be demonstrated by paid or unpaid experience and/or completion of specific, intensive training (for example, IT certification), as appropriate

GS-5 through GS-15 (or equivalent): For all positions individuals must have IT-related experience demonstrating each of the four competencies listed below. The employing agency is responsible for identifying the specific level of proficiency required for each competency at each grade level based on the requirements of the position being filled.
  • Attention to Detail - Is thorough when performing work and conscientious about attending to detail.
  • Customer Service - Works with clients and customers (that is, any individuals who use or receive the services or products that your work unit produces, including the general public, individuals who work in the agency, other agencies, or organizations outside the Government) to assess their needs, provide information or assistance, resolve their problems, or satisfy their expectations; knows about available products and services; is committed to providing quality products and services.
  • Oral Communication - Expresses information (for example, ideas or facts) to individuals or groups effectively, taking into account the audience and nature of the information (for example, technical, sensitive, controversial); makes clear and convincing oral presentations; listens to others, attends to nonverbal cues, and responds appropriately.
  • Problem Solving - Identifies problems; determines accuracy and relevance of information; uses sound judgment to generate and evaluate alternatives, and to make recommendations.

    GS-13: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-12) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector generating cyber operations or cybersecurity evaluation strategies. Examples of specialized experience include some of the following: 1) Functioning as a subject matter expert in cyberspace operations; 2) Developing detailed plans; 3) Conducting analysis of physical and logical digital technologies to identify potential avenues of access; 4) Maintaining awareness of advancements in hardware and software technologies; 5) Developing analytical approaches or solutions to problems and situations for which information is incomplete.

    GS-12: Your resume must also demonstrate at least one year of specialized experience equivalent to the next lower grade level (GS-11) or pay band in the federal service or equivalent experience in the private or public sector generating cyber operations or cybersecurity evaluation strategies.
