Duties
1. As an expert in strategic planning, represents NASIC (and USAF as required) at DoD, the Intelligence Community (IC), Joint Staff, Defense Intelligence Agency (DIA), Combatant Commands (CCMD), and Service-level strategic planning conferences, meetings and symposiums, and video teleconferences.
2. Leads groups to guide cross-center studies for defining critical strategic issues and formulating recommendations for the Commander and senior staff.
3. Recommends new areas for further investigation based on research and initiates analyses based on judgments about organizational needs.

This is a GG-14 position in the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS). The GG-14 duties for the "Professional" work category are at the "Senior" work level and are equivalent to those at the GS-14 level. The selectee's salary will be set within the grade equivalent to a GS/GG grade based on the selectee's qualifications in relation to the job.
In order to qualify, you must meet the specialized experience requirements described in the Office of Personnel Management (OPM) Qualification Standards for General Schedule Positions, Administrative and Management Positions.
EXPERIENCE REQUIRED: Your resume must reflect the quality level of experience which demonstrates the possession of the knowledge, skills, abilities, and competencies necessary for successful job performance required for this position.Examples of quality level experience includes knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices relating to all-source intelligence, as well as integrated intelligence analysis of foreign systems and forces. Advanced training and experience in management and leadership. In-depth understanding of the functions and organization of NASIC, the intelligence community, and DoD is required to include strategic planning. Note: Creditable experience may include previous military experience, experience gained in the private sector, or experience gained in another government agency.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS AND ABILITIES (KSAs): Your qualifications will be evaluated on the basis of your level of knowledge, skills, abilities and/or competencies in the following areas:
1. Knowledge of a wide range of concepts, principles, and practices relating to all-source intelligence, as well as integrated intelligence analysis of foreign systems and forces.
2. Technical knowledge and experience with multiple strategic planning concepts and techniques, and high degree of familiarity with NASIC, USAF and IC strategic goals; experience applying technical knowledge to create strategic plans with high level of impact.
3. Knowledge and experience related to successful collaboration with internal and external partners to identify common goals and objectives.
4. Knowledge of and experience with critical thinking skills to frame problems and form creative solutions.
5. Advanced communication skills and experience presenting complex information to and facilitating group discussion between senior leaders.
6. Ability to gather and analyze a variety of intelligence and operations information, make sound judgments concerning planning and programs under conditions of urgency and pressure based on mature judgment and experience, and present and/or justify a position effectively.
CONDITIONS OF EMPLOYMENT CONTINUED:
1. Position is covered by the Defense Civilian Intelligence Personnel System (DCIPS), and as such will subject the incumbent to those examination and/or tests that are necessary to obtain and retain a security clearance and any special accesses required by the position in accordance with AFI 36-1101. This position is a testing designated position and as such requires periodic urinalysis testing. Failure to comply with any of the special requirements, when required, will subject the incumbent of this position to reassignment or disciplinary adverse actions, including demotion or removal.
2. Position is designated special-sensitive and requires eligibility for access to Sensitive Compartmented Information (SCI), other intelligence-related Special Sensitive information, or involvement in Top Secret Special Access Programs (SAP) to fully perform the duties and responsibilities of the position. A non-disclosure agreement must be signed.
3. Drug Testing: This position has been designated by the Air Force as a Testing Designated Position (TDP) under the Air Force Civilian Drug Demand Reduction Program. Employee must pass initial and periodic short notice drug testing. Illegal drug use by employees in sensitive positions presents a clear threat to the mission of the Air Force, national security, and public safety.
PART-TIME OR UNPAID EXPERIENCE: Credit will be given for appropriate unpaid and or part-time work. You must clearly identify the duties and responsibilities in each position held and the total number of hours per week.
