Systems Administrator

Overview

We are seeking an experienced Virtualization Engineer to design, implement, and support enterprise virtualization and VDI environments across distributed networks. This role requires deep expertise in VMware technologies, enterprise storage solutions, and Windows-based systems, along with the ability to translate customer requirements into scalable, secure virtualized solutions.

What will you do?

• esign, deploy, and maintain virtualization environments using VMware technologies (vCenter, ESXi, Horizon).
• Support and optimize Virtual Desktop Infrastructure (VDI) environments to ensure performance, scalability, and availability.
• Translate customer and mission requirements into effective virtualized infrastructure solutions.
• Administer and support distributed, multi-site network environments.
• Manage enterprise storage systems, including NAS solutions utilizing NFS.
• Automate and manage VMware environments using PowerCLI and Microsoft PowerShell.
• Configure and maintain VMware/Omnissa App Volumes for application delivery.
• Perform Windows system administration, including patching, configuration, and troubleshooting.
• Administer Microsoft Exchange Server environments.
• Utilize SQL and relational databases to support system operations and reporting.
• Ensure systems meet security and compliance requirements, including data protection standards.

Do you have what it takes?

• Active TS/SCI with Polygraph required.
• Bachelor's degree in Geospatial Intelligence, Geography, Remote Sensing, Intelligence Studies, Engineering, or related field, or equivalent experience
• • 5+ years of experience with virtualization technologies (VMware, Proxmox, Cisco, or similar).
  • Hands-on experience with:
    • VMware vCenter and ESXi
    • VMware Horizon or Citrix in a distributed VDI environment
  • Experience supporting multi-site, distributed network infrastructures.
  • Strong knowledge of enterprise storage solutions, including NAS and NFS.
  • Experience scripting/automation using VMware PowerCLI and PowerShell.
  • Experience with VDI environments and application virtualization (App Volumes).
  • Solid background in Windows system administration.
  • Experience administering Microsoft Exchange Server.
  • Proficiency with SQL commands and relational database management systems.
  • Ability to translate technical and business requirements into deployed solutions.
