Job Description

Azure Infrastructure Engineer
Location: Fort Belvoir, VA / Northern Virginia (fully on-site)

Make an Impact Where It Matters Most

Blue Rose Consulting Group, Inc. (Blue Rose) is seeking a skilled Azure Infrastructure Engineer to support a federal client in deploying, securing, and sustaining a mission-critical task management solution built on Microsoft Power Platform.

This is not a traditional system administrator role. We are looking for an engineer who can manage the full backend of Azure and Power Platform environments, support secure enterprise architecture, and lead complex deployments across federal environments. In this role, you will help stand up and maintain cloud infrastructure, support CAC-enabled authentication, and ensure the solution performs reliably across distributed government operations.

What You'll Do

As an Azure Infrastructure Engineer, you will:

  • Lead installation, configuration, deployment, and troubleshooting activities for a Dynamics/Power Platform-based task management solution
  • Manage the backend architecture of Azure and Power Platform environments, including administration, integration, and operational support
  • Design, configure, and maintain secure authentication solutions, including CAC-enabled access, Active Directory Federation Services, Active Directory, and Entra ID
  • Develop and execute client installation and deployment plans in coordination with stakeholders and project teams
  • Serve as the escalation point for complex technical issues raised by clients and engineering teams
  • Lead migration of client data and supporting services from on-premises environments to Azure-based cloud environments
  • Support and optimize environments involving Power Apps, Power Platform, Dataverse, Dynamics, SharePoint, SQL Server, Exchange, Office 365, and load balancing technologies
  • Troubleshoot both routine and complex infrastructure, application, and integration issues across enterprise environments
  • Use PowerShell automation to streamline administration, deployment, and support activities
  • Support web-based .NET applications running in SQL Server environments
  • Review and test new releases, validate updates, and improve installation and support documentation
  • Contribute technical expertise to product roadmaps and solution planning efforts
  • Assess the organizational and operational impact of technical architecture decisions
  • Provide technical leadership and guidance to engineering teams as needed
  • Serve as a subject matter expert to business, operations, and technical stakeholders on Azure-based solution architecture

Schedule & Shift Details

  • Full-time (40 hours/week)
  • On-site support at Fort Belvoir and other Northern Virginia locations
  • Limited flexibility may be available based on mission needs

Requirements

  • U.S. Citizenship required
  • Active Secret clearance required
  • Bachelor's degree preferred
  • CompTIA Security+ certification required
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft Active Directory design and implementation
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Windows Server administration and maintenance
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Microsoft PowerShell, with a focus on automation
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience supporting web-based .NET applications in SQL Server environments
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with Power Apps, Power Platform, and Dataverse
  • Demonstrated experience with Power Automate, Flows, and SharePoint Online
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience with SharePoint administration
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience writing and debugging T-SQL queries
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience serving in a technical lead capacity
  • Minimum of 2 years of experience troubleshooting routine and complex technical issues
  • Strong experience supporting Azure infrastructure engineering beyond basic system administration
  • Experience configuring and maintaining secure enterprise backend environments across Azure and Microsoft ecosystem platforms
  • Experience supporting CAC-enabled authentication and secure federal access requirements
  • Excellent written, verbal, and interpersonal communication skills

Preferred Qualifications

  • Microsoft Power Platform certification such as PL-900, PL-200, or similar
  • Experience with Dynamics, Exchange, Office 365, load balancing, and hybrid cloud environments
  • Experience supporting secure federal or DoD environments

Why Join Blue Rose?

  • Support a mission-driven federal program with real operational impact
  • Work on secure, enterprise-scale Azure and Power Platform environments
  • Help deliver modernized backend infrastructure that enables reliable government operations
  • Collaborate with experienced technical and program teams in a high-visibility environment
