Computer Technologies Consultants (CTC) is seeking a Senior Oracle Database Engineer to support the Intelligence Community in Laurel, MD. This is a full time on-site position on a stable prime government contract.

Position Title : Senior Oracle Database Engineer
Position Location : Government site in Laurel, MD
Description / Key Responsibilities :
- Join a team introducing emerging technologies for enterprise-wide impact on daily operations.
- Shape and lead new development efforts, starting from the ground up.
- Engage with key stakeholders, including in a project with high visibility across the enterprise.
- Become one of the select SMEs, taking the lead as an initial architect in a pioneering development effort.
- Opportunities expand as the technology you implement is adopted across different directorates.
- Work on a team developing a series of applications that are certified, trusted sources of mission-critical data for decision-making across the enterprise.
- Design, build, and maintain databases based on simple requirements.
- Support UX, middleware and backend database development efforts by collaborating with developers to define and implement technical designs that meet project requirements.
- Have frequent interactions with customers to gather input and feedback.
- Maintain and optimize Oracle databases to ensure their reliability, security, and performance.
- Monitor database health and performance, addressing any issues promptly.
- Work in an agile, fast-paced team, creatively solving customer requirement challenges.
- Operate with a high degree of independence and initiative, even with limited technical direction.
- Optimize queries to improve system performance and efficiency.
- Build Oracle packages and functions.
- Maintain and manage database schemas.
Qualifications :
- TS/SCI with Polygraph
- A bachelor's degree and five (5) years' experience as a Database Engineer in programs and contracts of similar scope, type and complexity is required. Ten (10) years of experience required In lieu of bachelor's degree.
- Experience designing, building, and maintaining a database from simple requirements
- Oracle SQL experience and knowledge in areas such as creating tables, SQL queries using unions, joins (inner/outer), complex queries and views
- Familiarity with Oracle Row Level Security
- Experience with data ETL
- Knowledge of PL/SQL
- Experience with optimizing queries
- Experience with building Oracle packages and functions.
Desired Experience :
- Familiarity with AWS RDS
- Familiarity with database administrative tasks such as backups, database migrations and cloning and restoring (preferably using AWS RDS)
- Familiarity with SQL Developer session/sql monitoring tools
- Experience with the Atlassian Tool Suite
- Experience working with Git for configuration management
- Experience working with the JSON format
Required Clearance :
- Active TSSCI clearance with Full Scope Polygraph
Pay Information
Full-Time Salary Range: $150k - $180k
