Job Summary:
As a Scrum Master within Classified Digital Services (CDS), you will be working with cross-functional teams to facilitate Agile processes and ensure efficient delivery of products. You will be responsible for coaching team members, removing impediments, and ensuring that Agile principles and Scrum practices are being followed.
Responsibilities:
• Facilitate Agile ceremonies for your Agile Team(s) including daily stand-ups, Iteration Planning, Retrospectives, and Reviews.
• Coach team members on Agile principles and best practices.
• Collaborate with Product Owners, Stakeholders, Architects, and Developers to ensure successful project delivery.
• Remove impediments and resolve conflicts to help the Agile Team(s) focus on their work.
• Track, understand, and communicate Team progress and metrics.
• Ensure the Agile Team adheres to Agile practices and maintains a focus on continuous improvement.
• Foster a collaborative and positive team environment.
• Assist in Backlog Refinement and Prioritization with product owners.
• Stay current t with emerging trends and best practices in Agile methodologies, contribute towards continuously enhancing the CDS's Agile practices.
• Servant leader and coach for Agile Team(s)
• Adapting agile processes to the needs of the Team(s) and to adhering to the CDS specific application of the Agile framework
Qualifications You Must Have:
Travel Requirements: Travel is estimated to be 10% and may vary as required for key events and for career and other training opportunities.
Physical Requirements: FT, US role, with ability to work from a major CDS site as needed.
Required Security Clearance – US Person, able to be cleared to Secret or TS
Education, Experience, Skills & Certifications
• Bachelor’s degree in STEM field, Operations, Business or Program Management disciplines
• SAFe 6.0 Scrum Master Agile certification.
• 5 years of experience as a Scrum Master or in a similar role within a Scaled Agile environment.
• Proficient in usage of JIRA, Confluence, and JQL.
• Strong understanding of Agile principles and Scrum practices.
Qualifications We Prefer:
• One or more of the following: SAFe 6.0 Advanced SM or other advanced SAFe certification, PMP certification, ITIL 4 certification
• Experience with Jira Service Management
• Experience creating JQL dashboards
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
• Strong problem-solving skills and ability to navigate complex and ambiguous situations.
• Ability to work collaboratively in a dynamic team environment.
• Experience in a technical or software development environment.
