Job Description

Koniag Professional Services, LLC, a Koniag Government Services company, is seeking a ServiceNow Self Service Task Lead to support KPS and our government customer. The position is remote. This position requires the candidate to be able to obtain a Public Trust. This position will require occasional travel to Washington DC.

Koniag Professional Services is seeking an experienced ServiceNow Self Service Task Lead to support our client, the Department of Health and Human Services (DHHS), Office of the Chief Information Officer (OCIO) in developing a secure, scalable, and integrated Human Capital Management (HCM) solution that consolidates core HR functions into a unified enterprise platform built on the ServiceNow platform as part of OPM's HR 2.0 initiative. The ideal candidate combines strong technical ServiceNow migration and configuration skills with an understanding of federal government systems and requirements.

The Task Lead will primarily be working remotely but may need to travel onsite to support customer meetings, whiteboarding sessions, presentations to customers and any in-person meetings as requested by customer.

The ideal candidate should support the following functions:
  • Manage schedule, task assignments, requirements, and deliverables for the EMHRSS workstream to ensure on-time delivery of migration milestones and adherence to project timelines. Provide guidance to the team on Requirements gathering techniques, Change Management, Risk Analysis, and Metrics Reporting
  • Lead the data analysis and preparation for migration of EMHRSS module for HHS.
  • Develop and document business rules and data requirements for key processes such as leave requests, performance review initiation, and personal information updates.
  • Coordinate integration with payroll, benefits, timekeeping, and other third-party systems to ensure seamless data flow and system interoperability.
  • Leverage ServiceNow platform expertise to configure modules, workflows, and integrations that meet federal compliance and HHS operational requirements.
  • Assist with testing functionality of and interactions between enterprise systems from an end user perspective, when required.
  • Support Change Control Board activities, incident management, continuous service improvement, and knowledge transfer initiatives.
  • Collaborate with fellow task leads and stakeholders in the development, integration and sustainment of unified HCM capabilities in support of HHS.


Required Qualifications:
  • 4-year college degree
  • 7+ years overseeing technical and non-technical teams
  • Experience working with ServiceNow Self Service module
  • Experience supporting projects/programs related to application consolidation or legacy modernization is a plus and a key differentiator
  • Experience working in an HR environment or having functional knowledge of HR activities is a plus and a key differentiator
  • Knowledge of Scrum processes, familiarity with JIRA
  • Excellent verbal, written and interpersonal communication
  • Exceptional client relationship skills
  • Microsoft Office suite skills to include Visio, MS Project, PowerPoint
