Job Description
Technical Writer will provide writing, editing and progress tracking for the products and deliverables required to support the USTRANSCOM SISO contract.
Responsibilities
- Provides technical writing assistance to system and security engineers
- Provides consolidated schedule, performance and associated progress/risk reporting metrics
- Provide reports and presentations to address management questions and issues
- Maintain Task Area processes, e.g. SOPs, policies, training plans, templates, and and support materials.
- Guide and track training progress of new hires
- Provide business process improvement support, including business process reengineering.
- Provide process improvement options and plans to streamline, eliminate redundancy, and achieve overall efficiencies.
- Participate in meetings with other contractors and government agencies and capture highlights relevant to assigned task area.
- Support assessments, research efforts, and special projects/initiatives taking place in assigned task area.
- Compile, examine, and identify policies, standards, SOPs, memos, etc... that require updates. Coordinate updates within assigned task area and further coordinate within USTRANSCOM until updates are published.

Bachelor Degree
Secret Clearance
1+ of years of experience
Familiarity with the format of various documents (e.g, SOPs, policies, standards, memos, etc.)
Experience routing and vetting documents through review and approval processes.
Strong skills using MS Office products to include Word, Excel and Powerpoint
