Celluar/RF Engineer

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Cellular RF Engineer to support a mission-critical program focused on designing and optimizing secure wireless communications within the defense and national security space. This position is fully on-site in Washington, DC. The Cellular RF Engineer will be responsible for designing, testing, and optimizing cellular and RF networks to ensure reliable, high-performance connectivity in complex operational environments. This role directly supports secure communications infrastructure essential to national security operations.

Responsibilities for the Cellular RF Engineer include:

• Designing, testing, and optimizing RF networks supporting cellular, LTE, and 5G technologies
• Conducting RF site surveys, drive testing, spectrum analysis, and signal strength measurements
• Performing RF propagation modeling, link budget calculations, and coverage/capacity analysis
• Troubleshooting and resolving RF performance issues in live and in-building networks
• Producing RF documentation, technical reports, and network optimization plans while collaborating with cross-functional engineering teams

Required Qualifications for the Cellular RF Engineer include:

• 7+ years of experience as an RF Engineer supporting cellular and wireless systems
• Hands-on experience with 4G/5G, LTE, RF propagation modeling, DAS, and in-building wireless solutions
• Strong skills in RF analysis, interference mitigation, antenna selection/placement, and network optimization
• Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or a related technical field (preferred)
• Active TS/SCI security clearance (required)

Compensation for the Cellular RF Engineer include:

• Salary Range: $160,000 - $215,000 depending on experience
