Job Description

As a Security Guard - Armed Patrol Officer in Huntsville, AL, you will serve and safeguard clients in a range of industries such as Aero/Defense, and more. Join Allied Universal at a leading aero and defense location as an armed patrol officer, conducting routine rounds and remaining highly visible to help reduce security-related incidents. You will support access control, respond to alarms and/or unusual activity, and provide clear communication and customer service to employees and visitors. What You'll Do:

• Provide customer service to our clients by carrying out security-related procedures, site-specific policies and when appropriate, emergency response activities at an aerospace and defense location.
• Respond to incidents and critical situations in a calm, problem-solving manner, including coordinating notifications and documenting actions taken.
• Conduct regular and random armed patrols of buildings, production areas, parking lots and perimeter fencing to help to deter unauthorized activity and/or suspicious behavior.
• Control access at entrances and restricted areas by checking identification, verifying authorizations, screening visitors and/or contractors and directing traffic and deliveries per site requirements.
• Complete detailed activity logs and incident reports, maintain required armed post qualifications, and handle issued equipment and firearms in accordance with Allied Universal policies and site directives.

Minimum Requirements:

• A concealed carry weapons permit is required.
• At least 6+ months of security-related experience is required.
• An armed guard card and/or license is required.
• Client requires proof of a high school diploma and/or GED.
• CPR certification is preferred.
• Be at least 21 years of age for armed roles.
• Possess a high school diploma or equivalent.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a background investigation in accordance with all federal, state, and local laws.
• Allied Universal will consider qualified applications with criminal histories in a manner consistent with applicable laws.
• As a condition of employment, applicants will be subject to a drug screen to the extent permitted by law.
• Participate in industry-specific security training programs.
• Licensing requirements are subject to state and/or local laws and regulations and may be required prior to employment.
• A valid driver's license will be required for driving positions only.
