Job Description
Job title: Project Manager - II
Job location: Cary, NC
Contract: 12 months with extension possibility
Client: Telecom
Targeted Years of Experience: 3-5 years
Each contractor will need to screen for and pass a Public Trust Clearance, as this is a Government contract. These positions will support project and order management so any experience as former Telecommunication would be a plus in that area.
We are migrating a large customer VoIP network internally and someone with that type of experience along with order and project management would be ideal.
Responsibilities:
• Develop and maintain project schedules and calendars with the input and assistance of transition leads
• Facilitate team meetings, providing meeting minutes and action items where needed
• Order validation for orders that follow VRD process via automation to ensure no discrepancies or errors.
• Analyze order data, identify incorrect or missing data and take corrective action
• Build strong communication channels with internal stakeholders in various departments: Sales, Professional Services, IT Operations, Development teams, Release Management, Networking
• Track tasks assigned to the project team and prepare regular status reports
• Responsible for tracking project changes and producing updated schedules
• Gather and report performance measurement of on-going progress.
• Ensure smooth communication within the project team and other cross-functional teams
• Interface with internal/external stakeholders on a regular basis
MUST HAVE SKILLS (Most Important): Excel, vlookups, Data modeling (high proficiency), Data Control, problem solving
DESIRED SKILLS:
Customer Service, Clear communication, Risk management, Stakeholder management, Scheduling, Customer Service, Adaptability
EDUCATION/CERTIFICATIONS:
A PMP and/or ScrumMaster classification would be beneficial. HS graduate / a BA preferred but not required.
