Job Description:
This role will be responsible for designing, implementing, and maintaining a catalog of learning modules and a centralized resource hub that supports both foundational and SOW specific capabilities. The ideal candidate will have demonstrated experience creating learning materials for engineers -- preferably network or systems design engineers -- and will be adept at translating complex, technical content into engaging, measurable, and scalable learning solutions. They should be comfortable collaborating with distributed teams, using Learning Management System (LMS) and authoring tools, and applying adult learning theory and performance analysis to drive measurable improvements in workforce capability.
Key Responsibilities:
• Gather and document learning requirements from stakeholders and subject-matter experts (SMEs).
• Assist in designing and developing course content, instructor guides, learner materials, and assessments aligned to learning objectives and business needs.
• Test and validate learning delivery environments (LMS, virtual classrooms, local labs) and establish system access requirements.
• Coordinate deployment of assessment materials and manage logistics for instructor-led, virtual, and blended deliveries.
• Respond to learner and stakeholder questions about learning processes and assessment procedures.
• Support performance needs analysis activities: collect data, identify gaps, and summarize findings to recommend learning solutions.
• Apply adult learning principles and learning theory to content design to maximize learner engagement and retention.
• Use a variety of media and instructional techniques to communicate clearly and effectively to diverse audiences.
• Maintain documentation of course versions, access requirements, and post-delivery evaluation data.
• Build and maintain productive relationships with cross functional teams, SMEs, and external partners.
Work Authorization:
This position must meet Export Control compliance requirements, therefore a "US Person" as defined by 22 C.F.R. § 120.15 is required. "US Person" includes US Citizen, lawful permanent resident, refugee, or asylee.
This position is expected to be 100% onsite. The selected candidate will be required to work onsite located in Seattle, WA.
Basic Qualifications
• Bachelor's degree in Instructional Design, Education, Human Resources, Organizational Development, or related field (or equivalent experience).
• 5+ years of experience in instructional design, learning development, or training coordination supporting complex technical or engineering audiences.
• Experience with Learning Management System or e-learning platforms
• Needs to have experience in creation through deployment of learning materials
Preferred Qualifications
• Experience in aerospace, engineering, or other technical industries.
• Familiarity with export-control or security requirements as they relate to global training delivery.
• Project coordination or project management experience.
• Advanced degree or certification in instructional design, training, or adult learning.
• Experience conducting performance needs analysis and coordinating assessments.
Education / Experience:
Education/experience typically acquired through advanced education (e.g. Bachelor) and typically 6 or more years' related work experience or an equivalent combination of education and experience (e.g. Master+4 years' related work experience, 10 years' related work experience, etc.).
