FPV Instructor

RMGS, Inc. is currently recruiting an FPV Instructor in Virginia Beach, Virginia. This position is contingent upon contract award.

Roles and Responsibilities

• Provide training for drone operators
• Assist in establishing and maintaining training standards
• Assist in range and facilities scheduling
• Assist with creating reports and other deliverables

Required Qualifications and Experience

• Valid U.S. driver's license
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications
• U.S. citizen with a valid passport
• Ability to communicate effectively with others both verbally and in writing
• Ability to maintain a UAS flight physical
• Ability to obtain and maintain a Secret security clearance
• Three years of experience flying, troubleshooting, and fixing FPVs across multiple platforms
• Experience implementing, evaluating, and executing training curriculum for foundational flight fundamentals and advanced piloting skills
• Familiarity with soldering Printed Circuit Board Assemblies (PCBAs) and connecting electrical wires
• Experience working in cross-functional teams
• Experience with vetting cutting-edge hardware and software technology
• Proven background of electronics safety, fundamentals, and best practices
• Three years' experience with Betaflight and FPV simulator software
• Experience with counter-UAS operations
• FAA Part 107 drone pilot certification
