Site, Business, OR Functional Area Overview
This role supports GE Aerospace operations performing on U.S. government contracts and other classified programs. You will be part of the Industrial Security team, partnering closely with engineering, program management, supply chain, and other functional areas across multiple sites. The team is responsible for ensuring full compliance with the National Industrial Security Program and maintaining trusted relationships with U.S. Government security stakeholders.
Role Overview
As the Facility Security Officer (FSO), you will be responsible for the administration of the National Industrial Security Program in accordance with 32 CFR Part 117 (National Industrial Security Program Operating Manual - NISPOM). You will serve as the resident industrial security expert, providing a secure and compliant workplace for employees, contractors, visitors, and suppliers.
In this role, you will collaborate with the broader security organization, both onsite and offsite, and support teams executing government contracts. Success will require close coordination with cross-functional partners and multiple GE Aerospace sites. The ideal candidate will demonstrate strong leadership, the ability to influence and drive impact, and the capability to articulate security requirements while effectively balancing compliance and business needs.

Required Qualifications
Education
Bachelor's degree from an accredited university or college ORAssociate's degree with 4 years of military experience ORhigh school diploma/GED with 8 years of military experience
Experience
Minimum of 5 years of Industrial Security experience, preferably serving as a Facility Security Officer or Assistant Facility Security Officer
Technical Knowledge
Working knowledge of 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM)
Hands-on experience developing and maintaining secure areas in accordance with ICD 705 standards
Working knowledge of NISS, DISS, NBIS, and other U.S. Government security applications
Security Domains
Demonstrated familiarity with Personnel Security, Information Assurance, and Communication Security (COMSEC)
Leadership
Ability to lead and develop other security professionals at varying career levels
External Interface Experience interfacing with government regulators and customers, representing GE Aerospace's reputation within the industrial security community
Clearance Must possess an active Top Secret clearance

Key Responsibilities
In this role, you will:
Lead and support security initiatives
- Participate in, develop, and/or lead organizational security initiatives as directed by the Industrial Security Operations team and/or the Senior Management Official.
Administer the National Industrial Security Program (NISP)
- Manage all aspects of the National Industrial Security Program in compliance with 32 CFR Part 117 (NISPOM), internal business policies, and customer contractual security requirements.
Incident investigation and response
- Investigate national security program-specific incidents affecting cleared personnel, accredited facilities, and/or information systems, and support development of corrective actions.
External and internal stakeholder engagement
- Develop and maintain key external industry partnerships and strong internal stakeholder relationships to share best practices and influence emerging policy and procedures.
Primary interface with government security agencies
- Serve as the primary point of contact for Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency (DCSA) reviews and correspondence, establishing and maintaining effective working relationships with DCSA and other U.S. Government security personnel.
DCSA Security Review preparation
- Prepare for and participate in DCSA Security Reviews, including coordination of documentation, briefings, and follow-up actions.
Team leadership and development
- Lead, mentor, and develop security professionals at varying career levels, fostering a culture of compliance, accountability, and continuous improvement.
