Northrop Grumman Space Systems (NGSP) is seeking a Cyber Systems Engineer - Level 2 or 3 to join our team at our facility in Aurora, Colorado.
Job responsibilities will include, but not be limited to, the following:
- Continuous Monitoring of all Program assets
- Document findings (POA&M's) and perform scanning/assessment tasks on Program assets
- Configure (onboarding) and maintain enterprise level security tools
- Help develop security requirements from control listings
- Assess the program's security posture
- Help develop technical proposals
This requisition may be filled at a higher job grade based on the qualifications listed below.

Primary Level Salary Range: $101,000.00 - $151,400.00
Secondary Level Salary Range: $125,300.00 - $187,900.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

- Knowledge/Experience planning and configuring enterprise-level security tools, including the configuration, installation, and operations and maintenance (O&M) of Enterprise security tools
- Knowledge/Experience of Department of Defense (DoD) System Security Engineering activities.
- Knowledge/Experience of Risk Management Framework (RMF), Security Technical Implementation Guide (STIG), and requirements development from control listings.
- Capable of assessing the Program's system security posture in compliance with customer requirements and directives.
- Knowledge/Experience of adjusting commercial security methodologies and technologies within sensitive and proprietary customer environments in accordance with NIST 800-53.
- Knowledge/Experience of RMF (NIST 800-37) accreditation functions, including documentation, scanning, assessment, Plan of Action and Milestones (POAM) management, and all steps of the RMF process.
Basic Qualifications for a Level 3:
- Bachelor's degree with 5 years of relevant experience; Master's degree and 3 years of relevant experience; PhD and 0 years of experience. An additional 4 years of relevant experience may be considered in lieu of a degree.

Preferred Qualifications:
- DoD IAT Level II or higher such as Security+ (or willing to get it within 6mo of hire) or CISSP
- Ability to integrate Cyber Systems Engineering requirements with Program System Development Life Cycle (SDLC) initiatives.
- Competent in identifying work requirements for SIEM/SOAR tools and translating them into JIRA tasks for agile tracking.
- Proficient in managing multiple responsibilities related to the engineering and implementation of Program Security Information and Event Management (SIEM)/Security Orchestration, Automation, and Response (SOAR) tools.
- Experience with automation techniques for SIEM/SOAR deployment into new environments (e.g., Ansible).
- Experience working on a multidisciplinary team and developing technical proposals.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to effectively interface with employees and management at all levels.
- Experience in configuring and deploying Cross Domain Solutions (CDS).
