Northrop Grumman has established an IBCS Domestic program business area to support the US Army in the rollout of IBCS capability to its warfighters. Northrop Grumman is seeking a highly skilled and motivated Systems Engineering, Integration and Test (SEIT) Lead to drive strong engineering execution, enable speed through prioritization urgency and scale and to build a sustainable workforce aligned to core competencies and technology focus areas. The SEIT Lead will work under the guidance and direction of the Chief Engineer and will provide end-to-end technical direction that defines, integrates, verifies, and validates system solutions to meet stakeholder needs and program objectives. The SEIT Lead will be responsible for ensuring technical coherence, traceability, and verification closure throughout the systems engineering lifecycle.

Primary Level Salary Range: $194,100.00 - $276,100.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Key Responsibilities
- Technical Baseline - Develops and verifies system and mission requirements; represents the program on the Technical Review Board (TRB) and Change Control Board (CCB).
- Technical Leadership - Leads the technical staff execution, champions Model-Based Systems Engineering (MBSE) for requirements traceability, and ensures technical packages are adequate for board reviews.
- Technical Performance - Authors the System Engineering Management Plan (SEMP) and all required program-level SE plans; aligns execution processes with engineering standards and supports cost performance throughout the program.
- Risk & Opportunity Management - Identifies early technical risks and opportunities; leads Root-Cause & Corrective Action (RCCA) efforts.
- Proposals & Contracts - Partners with the Chief Engineer to embed a robust systems-engineering approach in bid efforts, delivering accurate engineering estimates.
- Integration Management - Directs both vertical (IPT-level) and horizontal (full-system) integration activities, ensuring seamless coordination of subsystem engineering, test, and logistics from concept through production, customer sell-off, and retirement.
- Team & Process Integrity - Defines key engineering roles, assigns qualified personnel, and guarantees adherence to SE processes and procedures across all engineering activities performed.
Basic Qualifications
- STEM degree in Systems Engineering or a related field (B.S. + 14 yrs experience, M.S. + 12 yrs, or Ph.D. + 10 yrs).
- 3 years developing test plans, procedures, and reports for integrated software/hardware systems with traceability to requirements.
- 5 years leading RCCA activities.
- 5 years applying Agile/Scrum methods and Atlassian tools (Confluence, JIRA).
- 5 years experience interfacing with customer stakeholders and presenting complex technical topics to diverse audiences.
- 5 years generating and reviewing engineering artifacts (SEMP, Interface Control Documents (ICDs), Test Plans, Defect Reports, Corrective Action Plans (CAPs), Return to Green (RTG) plans).
- 5 years leading cross-functional teams to meet execution goals.
- 5 years preparing acceptance test artifacts (test logs, traceability matrices, compliance metrics).
- Active Secret Clearance
Preferred Qualifications
- 5 years experience with engineering execution for developing or integrating weapon systems and sensors (e.g., PATRIOT, Sentinel, G/ATOR).
- 5 years leading test activities that meet DO-178C, MIL-STD-882, or similar standards and supporting certification audits.
- 5 years of experience with Hardware design and integration
- 3 years applying Design-of-Experiments techniques and Design for X (DFX)
- 10 years Systems Engineering experience in a SAFe Agile environment, with SAFe training and certification.
