We are seeking a dynamic and strategically focused Manager of Leadership Programs to lead the design, development, and partner closely with the programs managers to execute on the delivery of enterprise leadership development programs. This role reports to the Head of Leadership Development and leads a team of program managers and instructional designers who are responsible for delivering impactful leadership experiences.
The Manager will play a critical role in advancing our leadership capability strategy by ensuring programs are aligned with enterprise priorities, leadership capability framework and evolving business needs. This role partners closely with coaching and leadership enablement pillar to accelerate leadership readiness and develop future ready talent pipelines.
This position may be virtual or in person in Falls Church, VA and requires approximately 25% travel.

Primary Level Salary Range: $145,000.00 - $217,600.00
The above salary range represents a general guideline; however, Northrop Grumman considers a number of factors when determining base salary offers such as the scope and responsibilities of the position and the candidate's experience, education, skills and current market conditions.
Depending on the position, employees may be eligible for overtime, shift differential, and a discretionary bonus in addition to base pay. Annual bonuses are designed to reward individual contributions as well as allow employees to share in company results. Employees in Vice President or Director positions may be eligible for Long Term Incentives. In addition, Northrop Grumman provides a variety of benefits including health insurance coverage, life and disability insurance, savings plan, Company paid holidays and paid time off (PTO) for vacation and/or personal business.

Key Responsibilities:
The Manager, Leadership Programs will:
- Collaborate extensively across the enterprise to deliver leadership development programs aligned to our most critical business and workforce development needs with an initial focus on leader development.
- Ensures seamless execution of leadership programs across both in-person and virtual learning environments
- Partners with operational excellence lead, to maintain consistent program management standards, processes and tools.
- Partner with the sectors, as well as subject matter experts and enterprise stakeholders to deliver integrated talent development solutions.
- Have awareness of external best practices and partner with workforce development organizations to manage the Leadership development program portfolio including, but not limited to, critical transition, hi-potential cohort programs, and Leadership Development Conferences.
- Manage the product and service life cycle, generating and defining new leadership development product ideas, concepts, and development requirements.
- Curate, purchase or develop leadership development products and services and prepare them for production/service delivery.
- Establish partnerships with external content providers, coordinate communications campaigns, use metrics to demonstrate utilization, effectiveness and business impact of products, prepare and present briefings to multiple stakeholder groups, including C-suite leaders.
- Support development of visions and strategies to execute and measure enterprise-wide strategic initiatives.
- Use SAFe/AGILE project management to conduct program increment and sprint planning.
- As a Scrum Master, Product Owner and Project Manager, this person will develop project plans, complete deliverables, manage stakeholders and meet deadlines to execute projects on time and within budget.
- Review and report on project performance; create executive level presentations and work with executives and stakeholders to create positive stakeholder experience for each product and project.
- Lead teams of individual contributors and have prior experience leading and managing high performing teams.
- Manage employee performance, employee development, developing skills, training, rewarding and retaining direct reports.
- Able to prioritize, execute and delegate tasks in a high-pressure, dynamic environment.

Basic Qualifications:
- 10 years of relevant experience with a bachelor's degree; 8 years with a Master's degree; 6 years with a Ph.D.
- Demonstrated experience leading and managing teams in the development of large, complex leadership development programs or similar.
- Ability to manage multiple initiatives and competing priorities
- Strong strategic thinker and business acumen
- Demonstrated strong project management skills.
- Excellent communication and facilitator skills with demonstrated proficiency in delivering executive-level presentations.
- Advanced experience collaborating across organizational boundaries and influencing senior leaders.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Functional background in Talent Development, Learning Solutions, Leadership Development.
- Familiarity with external content providers and workforce development organizations.
- Learning and development experience, including instructional design and e-learning.
- Graphic design experience.
- Learning Technology experience
