The Work
Lockheed Martin Rotary & Mission Systems is seeking a full-time Systems Integration and Test Engineer. In this role, you will perform systems engineering tasks related to the integration and test of software systems supporting the Radio Room of navy submarines. The successful candidate will be responsible for integration of customized software and hardware in a quick paced, engineering environment. This engineer will maintain development, test and production environments while integrating and testing new technologies and maintaining system stability. Collaboration with cross-functional design teams will be necessary to identify test/integration impacts from development efforts, develop and execute test plans, troubleshoot issues, and provide technical expertise throughout the testing and integration process.
Typical Activities will include:
• Troubleshooting and problem-solving, as well as identifying, diagnosing, and resolving system issues to maintain smooth operation.
• Collaborating with hardware engineers, software developers, and other stakeholders to define test objectives, requirements, and strategies.
• Developing comprehensive test plans, test cases, and test scripts to validate system functionality, performance, and reliability.
• Executing test plans and documenting test results, including defects and issues encountered during testing.
• Participating in system design reviews, code inspections, and other technical meetings to provide input and ensure testability and quality of the system.
• Conducting regression testing to ensure the stability of software releases and updates.
• Contributing to process improvement initiatives to enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of the testing and integration process.
Basic Qualifications:
-CSRR Submarine Radio Room Control and Management -Software familiarity
-Operating System and/or Software troubleshooting skills
-Ability to read documentation and determine requirements
-Ability to create and review technical documents
-Ability to obtain a Top Secret clearance
Desired Skills:
-At-sea qualified radio room concept of operations and CSRR radio room operator experience
-Red Hat Enterprise Linux (RHEL) operating system experience
-RHEL administration experience
-System Engineering skills
-Knowledge of networking, audio/data processing, COMSEC, and RF systems
-Understanding of serial and Ethernet SNMP control interfaces
-Ability to work independently and balance multiple assignments at one time
-Good verbal and written customer interaction skills for effective Navy customer communications
-Active TS clearance
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Schedules range from standard 40 hours over a five day work week while others may be condensed. These condensed schedules provide employees with additional time away from the office and are in addition to our Paid Time off benefits.
Schedule for this Position: 4x10 hour day, 3 days off per week
