Description:Role Overview
Lead and execute flight test planning for new development programs. Serve as a technical leader and hands-on engineer, ensuring all flight test requirements are met while collaborating with cross-functional teams. Influence program outcomes from early development through execution.
Key Duties / Responsibilities
• Plan, implement, and execute flight tests for developmental hardware
• Develop comprehensive test plans, procedures, and schedules
• Integrate in-house and commercial components into full systems or subsystems
• Coordinate testing activities across programs and external organizations
• Analyze test results, prepare reports, and verify/validate system performance
• Write discrepancy reports and perform regression testing for fixes
• Ensure all testing meets technical, schedule, and cost constraints
Work Environment
• Fast-paced, collaborative team working across multiple sites
• Close interaction with government agencies, test ranges, and IPTs
• Hands-on and technical leadership role with frequent cross-team coordination

Basic Qualifications:
Candidates must meet all of the following:
• 5+ years hands-on experience testing developmental hardware at system, subsystem, or component level
• Proven experience planning and executing flight tests for missile programs
• Experience leading individual contributors, setting priorities, and guiding day-to-day work
• Experience collaborating with integrated product teams (IPTs) across multiple locations or organizations
Desired Skills:
These are not required but will strengthen your application:
• Experience supporting missile or space vehicle development programs
• Strong communication skills for briefing senior program leaders and stakeholders
• Broad exposure to one or more areas: systems integration and test, flight test, operations, systems engineering
Security Clearance Statement: This position requires a government security clearance, you must be a US Citizen for consideration.

Pay Rate: The annual base salary range for this position in California, Massachusetts, and New York (excluding most major metropolitan areas), Colorado, Hawaii, Illinois, Maryland, Minnesota, New Jersey, Vermont, Washington or Washington DC is $128,400 - $226,435. For states not referenced above, the salary range for this position will reflect the candidate's final work location. Please note that the salary information is a general guideline only. Lockheed Martin considers factors such as (but not limited to) scope and responsibilities of the position, candidate's work experience, education/ training, key skills as well as market and business considerations when extending an offer.
